Beauty Leaders Summit, Paris: Sneak peek at what’s in store with the marketing director
23 Oct 2023 --- The Beauty Leaders Summit, Paris, is set to initiate in two weeks. Ahead of the show, Personal Care Insights speaks to the marketing director, Ashley Harper, sharing what attendees can expect to see on the show floor.

The event will host three workshops, 34 renowned speakers, 65 organizations and 110 delegates. Event speakers come from brands such as Lush, L’Occitane, La Prairie, Weleda, Gallinée and companies like DSM-Firmenich, L’Oréal, Givaudan, International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), EveLab Insights, Roquette and Prose.
Marketing outreach efforts
Harper shares that she “stays attuned to industry changes and evolving consumer preferences through ongoing research, collaboration with experts and monitoring market trends.”
“We leverage various marketing channels and strategies to reach our target audience. This includes active participation on platforms like LinkedIn and sending personalized email campaigns. We also promote the event through industry publications and partnerships.”
She continues: “We work closely with beauty brands, suppliers, retailers, media partners and industry associations to ensure a comprehensive representation of the sector. These collaborations enrich the event's content, discussions and networking opportunities.”
For instance, Elena Schmidt, executive director at the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) and Mark Smith, director general at Natrue are included on the speaker panel.

Hot topics on panel and presentations
Further on the agenda include panel discussions, where Europe’s industry leaders from IFF, Procter & Gamble (P&G), RSB and Boeing will debate and reveal topics where attendees have a chance to ask questions on their challenges. It is titled Thinking Beyond Beauty: The role of Policy and cross-sector collaboration to Drive the transition to a Biobased Economy.
The other panel, A Holistic Approach to sustainability and Circular Innovation in Beauty — Packaging, ingredients and fragrance eco-design, will have speakers from D-Lab Industry, Floral Street, L’Occitane and DSM-Firmenich.
