Azelis to distribute BBA Ecotech’s microbial cleaning solutions to EMEA countries
03 Oct 2023 --- Specialty chemicals supplier Azelis has extended its partnership with Italian biotechnology provider BBA Ecotech. As a result, Azelis will be distributing BBA Ecotech’s microorganisms and probiotics products for the home care and industrial cleaning markets in Turkey, France, Benelux and Italy.
“The extension of our partnership with Azelis is a major opportunity for us to offer our sustainable solutions to a wider home care market,” comments Lorenzo Altheimer, CEO at BBA Ecotech.
“We are committed to developing safe, natural products and share Azelis’ ambition to provide our customers with the best environmental solutions. Benefiting from the knowledge and expertise of the Azelis teams in each of these countries promises to be a successful path for both us and our customers.”
Environmentally sustainable agenda
The two companies have extended their partnership due to a previously “effective and successful” collaboration in the UK.
“We are excited to announce our expanded partnership with BBA Ecotech. This collaboration empowers us to offer our customers a more extensive selection of sustainable products, aligning perfectly with Azelis’ commitment to [environmental] sustainability and the circular economy,” says Marnik Tack, market segment director of Home Care & Industrial Cleaning at Azelis EMEA.
“It meets a growing demand for eco-friendly solutions to home care and industrial cleaning, supporting a greener industry and addressing current trends. Together, we are taking meaningful steps toward a more environmentally responsible future while delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.”
Azelis boosts its home care and industrial cleaning solutions in EMEA and strengthens its lateral value chain by including BBA’s portfolio of products.
BBA’s portfolio consists of healthy microorganisms that are natural, safe and free from GMOs, contributing to odor-neutralization solutions and concentrated mixtures designed for specific applications.
Developments in cleaning
In a recent Special Report examining the home care market, we spoke to Evonik and Henkel, who discuss the evolving cleaning demands for modern households. Dow and LanzaTech Global are notably recycling carbon emissions into biodegradable cleaning supplies.
In other news within the space, Azelis signed an agreement to acquire all the shares of Sirius International, a distributor of specialty chemicals in the Benelux market, complementing the company’s lateral value chain in the home care and industrial cleaning categories.
