Inter Parfums inks fragrance license for Roberto Cavalli
11 Jul 2023 --- Inter Parfums has signed an exclusive worldwide fragrance license for the luxury fashion brand Roberto Cavalli. Subsidiary Interparfums Italia in Florence, will manage the Cavalli fragrance business, aligned with the company’s strategy to grow as an Italian brand hub.
Roberto Cavalli scents are described as sophisticated, luxurious and flamboyant, while Just Cavalli fragrances target contemporary, urban customers that are young or “young at heart.”
“In addition to the two core lines, the house launched the Roberto Cavalli Gold Collection, an ultra-premium fragrance collection, in 2014. Cavalli fragrances are distributed globally, with a concentration in Europe, the Middle East and the US,” shares Inter Parfums.
Future launch and plans
Roberto Cavalli is famous for its Italian lifestyle values incorporated in apparel for women, men and children, fashion accessories, home collections and fragrances.

We will modernize and elevate the fragrance portfolio, build a powerful global brand presence with a robust omnichannel reach, strengthen visibility and improve shelf space,” says Jean Madar, chairman and CEO at Inter Parfums.
“Our plans call for brand extensions in 2024 and a new blockbuster scent for women in 2025. Naturally, the Cavalli brand will be based in Italy utilizing our Florence resources, staff and infrastructure, which will be a long-term competitive advantage.”

Fragrances in business news
Looking at Inter Parfums’ financial performance for the three months ended March 31, 2023, net sales rose to a record US$312 million, a 24% increase from US$251 million in the first quarter of 2022. The sales gains were primarily due to established lines.
Recently, parent of fashion brands Gucci, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, Kering Beauté fully acquired luxury perfume house Creed.
In related news, researchers investigated integrating smell into an olfactory virtual reality that mimics the real world, which may potentially revolutionize fragrance sampling, entertainment, education and human-machine interfaces.
