Skincare from within: Neurohacker Collective unveils Qualia Skin supplement
25 Oct 2021 --- Wellness company Neurohacker Collective is releasing Qualia Skin, a supplement that addresses skincare from the “inside out.” The skin formula provides a “holistic alternative” to creams and topical products, the company says.
Specifically, the blend of 21 ingredients supports skin firmness, elasticity, hydration, skin endocrine signaling, skin antioxidant defenses and youthful appearance. Nail and hair health is also targeted to receive benefits from this formula.
“The skin is the largest organ in our body: it’s complex and has a lot of important functions – environmental shield, padding, insulation, cooling, light absorber, vitamin maker and detox,” James Schmachtenberger, CEO at Neurohacker Collective tells PersonalCareInsights.
“It supports skin hydration, elasticity and firmness, smoothness and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation and tone, skin physiology and nourishment, ceramide levels, collagen production and remodeling, epidermal and dermal thickness.”
“We created a skincare solution because we believe it can benefit from a whole system, inside-out approach,” he adds.
Moving away from topical applications
According to the company, the majority of skincare products are topical creams and lotions, although some aspects of overall skin health are better addressed by nutrition.
Qualia Skin is formulated with a red orange complex and hydro peach ceramides to support skin hydration and antioxidant effects.
The company adds that consumer response to some ingredients commonly found in topicals, along with their limited results, has created an environment for a robust nutritional approach to what has primarily been a cosmetically dominated market.
“Many skincare products are popular for their cosmetic benefits alone. We realized that comprehensive nutrition targeting skincare was being underutilized in the market,” says Schmachtenberger.
“With Qualia Skin, we’re giving the consumer a way to address not only the cosmetic concerns of great skin but also a way to address underlying aspects of skin health reliant on nutrition.”
The team that formulated the supplement includes neuroscientists that initially made a brain product, Qualia Mind.
US skincare market
Neurohacker Collective adds that the US skincare market generated US$17.5 billion in revenue in 2020 and over US$65 billion globally. Furthermore, the company adds that the skincare market is expected to grow annually by 5.01% from 2021-2025 (CAGR 2021-2025).
The company details that consumers are becoming more aware of the connection between gut and skin health.
Changes in diet and visible changes in the skin are propelling consumers’ beliefs that skin reflects the balance in the digestive tract.
Skin health may be “better addressed by nutrition.”

“Our manufacturing facilities are certified by Good manufacturing practices (GMP) or ISO 9000 quality management standards in terms of quality control protocols,” notes Schmachtenberger.
Clinically backed ingredients
The Qualia Skin supplement was made with 21 clinically backed ingredients like the red orange complex, which is a citrus Sinensis fruit extract.
The red orange complex has been clinically shown to reduce UV-induced skin damage through photoaging and solar lentigines – also known as liver spots or age spots.
Also, the hydro peach ceramides, a peach fruit extract, is clinically backed and has been shown to improve the skin’s ability to retain water, suppress water loss and improve skin texture.
The ingredients in the supplement include Biovin French red grapes extract, Pomanox pomegranate fruit extract, amla fruit extract, sea buckthorn fruit extract and Lycopene from a tomato extract, to name a few.
The supplement also contains common staples of skincare nutrition, such as biotin, selenium and copper. Additionally, it includes ingredients like aloe vera inner leaf juice powder and AstaPure astaxanthin Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae extract.
“Copper is a skin-essential mineral that functions in skin protein synthesis, pigmentation and antioxidant defenses. It’s needed for the production and stabilization of the collagen and elastin proteins that give skin firmness and elasticity,” details Schmachtenberger.
“AstaPure astaxanthin is an antioxidant that helps skin adapt to environmental stress. Astaxanthin also supports collagen regeneration and functions involved in skin hydration, elasticity and smoothness.”
