Weekly Roundup: Katy Perry’s non-alcoholic apératifs for well-being, easy-use nail printer launched

O Positiv released its first line of skincare gummies, adding to its line of wellness-supporting vitamin supplements. Meanwhile, Nailbot by Preemadonna, a nail art printer, was honored by the CET 2022 Innovation Awards.
New product development
This week pop singer Katy Perry launched De Soi, her own line of sparkling non-alcoholic apératifs to promote personal and social well-being. Ingredients include birch, yuzu and blackcurrant in addition to “natural adaptogens” like reishi, ashwagandha, l-theanine and maca.
The drinks are promoted as a way of celebrating responsibly, and the line aims to change what it means to celebrate things for consumers. Perry’s line of apératifs currently has three flavors: Purple Lune,
Champignon Dreams, and Golden Hour.Southern California-based More Hair Naturally has developed a “drug-free” solution to hair loss and thinning. Coming in the form of two topical sprays, a shampoo, a scalp exfoliator and a conditioner, the brand’s products contain stem cells, probiotics, peptide complexes and amino acids to combat shedding and promote new growth. The brand claims its method is significantly more effective than other hair loss solutions on the market and has no harmful side effects.
Lips and skin
A new lip plumping treatment was just launched by DERMA E, a natural vegan skincare company. The treatment is said to visibly increase users’ lip volume and “enhance” the lips’ natural color. DERMA E’s Ultra Hydrating Lip Plumping Treatment is a topical lip balm that contains hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and jojoba oil, as well as cinnamon oil and paprika which are said to plump the lips.

Vitamin and supplements provider Wellbeam Consumer Health has acquired BioTRUST Nutrition, a growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce brand for nutrition. The move will help the provider diversify its market presence and expand its DTC capacities. It is the fourth acquisition by Wellbeam Consumer Health since Penetrex, Eu Natural and TruSkin last year.
AHAVA is partnering with Centric Software. Using Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool, AHAVA will develop solutions for product launches, reduce time to market and streamline operations.
PLM will also help AHAVA “modernize” communications and workflow, allowing the company to become more agile within the cosmetics industry landscape. AHAVA says it chose Centric Software’s tool after observing its success with other major cosmetics brands.
Tricoci Salons & Spas and Perfect Corp also announced their partnership. Tricoci will introduce a mobile app offering a personalized augmented reality and artificial experience. The app will offer services, including virtual hair color try-ons and skin diagnostics. Users will also be able to make online salon appointments, make payments, and track rewards with their phones.
The CES 2022 Innovation Awards has honored Nailbot by Preemadonna, an at-home manicure system. Nailbot functions as a printer for users’ nails and can copy any design they want onto their nails in seconds. Preemadonna says the nail printer will power creative expression and simplify at-home manicures. The patented device is currently available for preorder.
