Government-led initiatives
The French government, under the “Première Usine” call for projects as part of the France 2030 plan, is providing €16.4 million (US$17.3 million) in non-dilutive funding to support the construction of a plant capable of producing 10,000 metric tons of isobutene and its derivatives annually. This facility, developed by Global Bioenergies, is intended to enhance the cosmetics industry to enhance the naturalness of its formulas and the aviation industry to reduce its reliance on oil without compromising performance or requiring equipment adaptations. The plant is scheduled to commence operations in 2027, and this support is a key component of the overall project financing.
