Geske German Beauty Tech, a brand merging German engineering, skin care expertise and AI, marked its global debut, offering a holistic SmartAppGuided skin care range, and Sally Beauty launched its Licensed Colorist OnDemand program in the US, providing free digital hair color consultations.
New product launches
Rare Beauty went beyond makeup with its body care launch. The Find Comfort collection includes a Body and Hair Fragrance Mist, Hydrating Body Lotion, Hydrating Hand Cream and Stop and Soothe Aromatherapy Pen. The products aim to provide comfort and alleviate tension while featuring a blend of ingredients like biotin, niacinamide, peach flower extract and ashwagandha extract. Scents include lemon zest, rhubarb, pomelo, jasmine petals, violet, black tea extract, vetiver, tonka beans and cashmere wood. The beauty brand partnered with Esther Bae, a doctor of occupational therapy, to create these products and are available online starting December 18 on Rare Beauty and Space NK. The UK physical launch is in January.
Seppic introduced In Real Life Beauty, a collection of six skin care formulations aligning with social media trends. The Elastic Stretch cream draws inspiration from trending hashtags #koreanskincare and #snailmucin, offering a natural face cream with a stringy texture and anti-aging benefits. Inspired by #whippedbodybutter, the cream delivers rich, long-lasting moisturization with an airy and creamy texture. Both formulations showcase sensorially satisfying products, aligning with beauty trends on social media. The six ingredients include Solagum AX, Fluidifeel Easy, Lanol P, Emogreen 19, Sepimax Zen and Easynov.
Green Science Alliance expanded its Re:soil line by developing plant-based vegan gel nails and launching 100% plant-based and vegan nail polish remover. The Re:soil trademark emphasizes the brand’s commitment to biodegradable cosmetics, contributing to reducing CO2 emissions. The gel nails, composed of approximately 22% to 24% vegan components, can be cured using UV or LED lamps. This addition complements the company’s mission to replace petroleum-based chemicals with natural biomass alternatives, aligning with their dedication to environmentally friendly beauty solutions.
Covergirl introduced Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence, a skin care-makeup hybrid delivering sheer coverage with a radiant bare-skin filter effect. Infused with Microdroplet Technology, the clean, vegan formula boasts 71% water, providing instant moisture for up to 24 hours. Developed with 0.5% Bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative, the essence reduces fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots, enhancing the complexion’s radiance in two weeks. With eight flexible shades and a vegan formula containing 98% natural origin ingredients, the product can be worn alone, as a primer, or mixed with foundation for a glow.
Suntegrity elevated the self-tanning experience with the relaunch of its Moisturizing Self Tanner. The upgraded lotion formula, designed to eliminate the dihydroxyacetone (DHA) odor associated with self-tanners, introduced a natural wild strawberry scent. Powered by Vegetan, a certified DHA source from sugar beets, the formula blends botanical extracts, hydrating oils and plant-based butter. Founder Tricia Trimble emphasizes the commitment to clean, safe and effective products, encouraging a shift to sunless tanning. The eco-friendly packaging and absence of harmful additives define Suntegrity’s dedication to healthy skin care.

Geske German Beauty Tech launched a holistic SmartAppGuided skin care range. Boasting 250 clinically tested devices, the line combines AI with dermatest-approved excellence. Geske’s devices target specific skin concerns, providing expert skin care accessible to all. The brand said the free app offers personalized routines while the technology enhances beauty democratization.
Sally Beauty launched its Licensed Colorist OnDemand program in the US, providing free and rapid digital hair color consultations. The innovative service swiftly expanded to all 50 states after a successful pilot and offers personalized advice from certified colorists, addressing consumers’ at-home hair color queries. Sally Beauty prioritizes convenience and user experience by leveraging insights from an in-store pilot to deliver a consumer-centric approach to hair color education. The initiative reinforces the brand’s commitment to making expert guidance accessible, allowing consumers to color their hair.
Aloette, renowned for Aloe Vera-based products, unveiled Beauty Blueprint, a virtual consultation program connecting customers with skin care specialists for personalized routines. Free for all, the platform enables one-on-one discussions, allowing customers to optimize daily regimens with Aloette products. President Cathy McKenna expresses enthusiasm, highlighting the program’s potential to enhance product understanding and deliver tangible skin care results.
Sirona Biochem took a strategic leap in the skin care industry by officially trademarking its anti-aging molecule, TFC-1326, as GlycoProteMim. It was filed with the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial and the US Trademark and Patent Office. Beauty industry icon Jerrod Blandino collaborated with Madonna for an exclusive makeup collection inspired by Madonna’s 40 years of iconic beauty and influenced by her tour looks in past decades. Co-founder of Too Faced and Polite Society, Blandino crafted limited-edition lipsticks, lip plumper, highlighter and compact mirror housed in collectible crucifix-inspired boxes. The collection is exclusively available at The Celebration Tour and Madonna’s e-shop.
Gucci Beauty partnered with King Power for a limited-time pop-up boutique at King Power Rangnam in Bangkok, Thailand. The store will be open until the end of the year. The holiday-themed #GucciBeautyWishes pop-up immerses visitors in a nocturnal garden filled with shades of purple, pink and blue, offering services such as gift-wrapping and engraving. The boutique showcases popular Gucci fragrances like Flora, Bloom and Guilty, while the makeup counter features virtual try-on experiences using AR. Sephora North America revealed eight BIPOC brand founders selected for its 2024 Accelerate program, a renowned beauty incubator.
