Core Biogenesis expands longevity concept into eye makeup
Key takeaways
- Core Biogenesis is extending its Longevity Concepts collection into eye makeup with a skin care-infused eye shadow formulation.
- Eye Longevity Shadow combines the company’s plant-derived Oleosome-EGF technology with hyaluronic acid and mineral pigments.
- The concept reflects rising demand for hybrid cosmetics that unite color performance with skin care-inspired benefits.

Core Biogenesis, a France‑based biotechnology company, is extending its longevity-driven innovation platform to color cosmetics with Eye Longevity Shadow, a formulation concept designed to merge makeup performance with skin care benefits.
“Consumers no longer see makeup and skin care as separate categories,” says Tony Abboud, chief commercial officer of Core Biogenesis.
“The future of color cosmetics lies in products that not only create visual impact but also contribute to healthier-looking skin. Eye Longevity Shadow demonstrates how biotechnology can help shape that evolution.”
Positioned as a technology showcase for beauty brands, the eye shadow combines key ingredients, including Peauvita, the company’s plant-derived biomimetic growth factor technology based on its patented Oleosome-EGF platform. It also features hyaluronic acid and mineral pigments to provide high-quality color cosmetics.
Eye Longevity is the latest addition to the company’s Longevity Concepts collection, which includes Lip Longevity Gloss and Skin Longevity Butter, which were introduced earlier this year with Italian distributor Faravelli.
Boom for hybrid cosmetics
For Core Biogenesis, the new concept illustrates how eye makeup can be developed while also offering support for skin renewal, combining color, radiance, and biotechnology.
Demand for multifunctional beauty products is rising.According to Innova Market Insights, consumers increasingly want makeup products containing skin care ingredients that prioritize functionality and performance.
Core Biogenesis’s recent launch reflects the growing momentum behind skin care-infused hybrid makeup, as brands are increasingly blurring the boundaries between cosmetics and skin care treatments.
For example, at In-cosmetics Global 2026, Evonik unveiled its “skinified” color cosmetics with MakeUp Magic. Yilei Fu, head of marketing, Cosmetic Solutions at Evonik, spoke to Personal Care Insights about the concept that blends skin care benefits with bold cosmetics.
The lip care category is also moving toward hybrid formats that combine makeup performance with skin care-inspired benefits.
Yesterday, we reported that ChapStick is expanding its everyday lip care lineup with the launch of HydraBalm tubes.
According to the brand, the HydraBalm tubes “bring ChapStick’s signature deep hydration to a fresh, flavor-forward tube format.” The move signals a growing trend of legacy beauty brands exploring new packaging and product formats to reach a wider consumer base.
Schwan Cosmetics is also backing this movement with its Skip-the-filler Lifter Liner. The color cosmetics company’s hybrid lip liner formula, LipLift, taps multiple proliferating cosmetic trends such as longevity, “skintelligence,” and non-invasive alternatives to cosmetic procedures.
“Lips are increasingly being treated as a dedicated skin care zone rather than an afterthought, driving demand for products that combine visible enhancement with skin care benefits and scientifically credible ingredients,” Schwan Cosmetics told us previously.
