COSRX creates viral TikTok challenge for peptide serum

The skin care brand says the #PrepPair challenge to promote its product underscores the significance of preparing the skin for an improved makeup appearance.

Peptides are natural amino acid chains vital for the skin’s health, promoting hydration and smoothness. The serum features ingredients to help with skin firmness and wrinkles while soothing, brightening and improving the texture of pores. 

The formulation is lightweight and has a water-like texture with niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate. It includes six peptides, including SH-Polypeptide-121, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Copper Tripeptide-1, Oligopeptide-68 and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-8.

The campaign’s hashtag, #PrepPair, surpassed 45 million views. As of December 7, over 8,200 videos have been posted featuring the #PrepPair filter,

The company says this meteoric rise attests to the overwhelming popularity the #PrepPair TikTok campaign has garnered among skin care enthusiasts.

It adds that the challenge’s success can be attributed to its simple but playful concept, encouraging users to share unique and entertaining content that has captivated a broad audience.

TikTok winners
With the help of skin care experts Dr. Zion Ko, Dr. Charles Puza and Dr. Andrew Park, alongside TikTok influencers Angela Chalet and Madeline Ford, the #PrepPair campaign emphasized the importance of a well-prepared canvas for an enhanced skin care experience.

Winners will be chosen from among the participants in the viral challenge for a selection of prizes. The top 200 winners will be awarded COSRX’s The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum and randomly selected products from the synergy duos for the perfect pairing. 

The top ten winners will win a pair of AirPod Maxs with COSRX products. The challenge ends on December 22, 2023, and all winners will be announced via the brand’s official Instagram and TikTok accounts on January 5, 2024.
