Estée Lauder-owned Clinique skincare and makeup brand joins forces with Marks & Spencer
23 Feb 2022 --- Dermatology-based expert Clinique is moving its products into high-end British retailer Marks & Spencer.
Clinique is entering “the UK’s most iconic and trusted high street shopping destinations,” says Rachel Baker, vice president and general manager at Clinique UK and Ireland.
“Marks & Spencer offers a convenient hybrid shopping experience…we aim to provide dermatologist-developed personalized skincare and makeup routines from our experts.”
Marks & Spencer notes that skincare has been robust during the pandemic and continues to grow. This is because its 22 million customers, both men and women, experienced more time to think about skincare routines at home.
“We’re also…introducing a bespoke in-store offer in our destination stores where we know customers appreciate having someone on hand to help with purchasing,” adds Richard Price, clothing and home managing director at Marks & Spencer.
Robust skincare marketsClinique launched the first-ever line of dermatologist-developed skincare in 1968.
The strategic focus from Marks & Spencer narrows down on Clinique’s dermatology-based skincare.
Clinique assimilates skincare into its makeup which is apparent in its foundation range. In this way, consumers can simultaneously protect their skin while wearing makeup.
A product example that will be available includes Clinique’s bestsellers, such as the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ made with Sunflower Seed Cake, Barley Extract, Cucumber Fruit Extract and Hyaluronic Acid to balance skin moisture.
The retailer’s concern over wellness via skincare will offer Clinique’s personalization services. For instance, Marks & Spencer customers can learn about effective skincare routines from Clinique’s skin analysis technology, Clinical Reality.
Furthermore, customers can find experts at 34 Marks & Spencer stores in the UK. Forty stores will have products displayed with a “bespoke Clinique fixture.” Five hundred Clinique products will be available upon free delivery or collection over 700 locations via Marks & Spencer’s website.
