Happier Beauty launches “world’s first” reusable toothpaste dispenser for single-use savings
13 Jan 2022 --- Happier Beauty is currently developing the world’s first refillable toothpaste dispenser with biodegradable refill capsules.
“This product will be another big step toward eliminating standard toothpaste tubes that are notoriously difficult to recycle and result in 1.5 billion plastic toothpaste tubes ending up in landfill every year,” says Happier Beauty.
The toothpaste dispenser will consist half of aluminum and half of recycled plastic. Additionally, the refill capsules will be entirely made from biodegradable bioplastic.
“The refill capsules will be sent out as a subscription, along with the reusable dispenser in the first subscription order. As always, customers will be able to choose the frequency of their subscription with our flexible subscription package.”
Happier Beauty is describing the toothpaste dispenser’s design as “elegant and sleek, reflecting the company’s existing range that looks stylish enough to be displayed on bathroom counters alongside chic beauty products.”
Happier Beauty's refillable toothpaste tubes. The dispenser comes in four colors: mint, pink, peach and white.
Faye Wilson, founder of Happier Beauty, says: “It is becoming clear that recycling will not save us from the climate crisis, and so, Happier Beauty wanted to take it one step further by creating a truly circular refillable and reusable solution.”

“We are so excited to be the world’s first toothpaste company to bring a refillable toothpaste dispenser to market. Refills are becoming more popular across food and beauty so why not dental care? Toothpaste is a product we all use twice a day, but innovation in this market has been pretty slow up until now.”
The refills have several advantages for the planet, argues Wilson, as they are easy to biodegrade and so reduce the amount of plastic going to landfills.
