Leveraging nanoparticle tech, mRNA and stem cells: ExoCel Bio activates natural cellular repair
25 May 2022 --- Bio and cell-based tech company ExoCel Bio is “revolutionizing” regenerative aesthetics with its all-natural Exovex serum. The serum contains purified exosomes designed to accelerate recovery time and reduce inflammation post-medical treatments.
Exosomes are spherical carrying elements transferred to skin cells – helping them regenerate.
“ExoCel Bio exosomes are produced by mesenchymal stem cells, isolated and expanded from the chorion layer of healthy, donated human placenta, previously screened for communicable diseases and pathogens,” shares the company.
“Exosomes are absorbed by target cells at damaged tissue sites, transferring their payload of bioactive molecules, precipitating intracellular phenotypic changes that produce anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects,” explains Roger Schechter, CMO at ExoCel Bio.
The next-gen serum is notably non-lyophilized and high in concentration and quality – “the safest and highest potency serum composed of exosomes currently available on the market.”
ExoCel Bio exosomes are produced by mesenchymal stem cells.
Exovex comes in varying concentrations as Revive, Renew, Reveal and Restore.
Leveraging mRNA for enhancing skin
The company explains that by applying Exovex after energy-based procedures or micro-needling, the serum leverages mRNA and growth factors that activate the body’s natural repair.
The activation improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, skin tone and texture.
“Exovex exosomes are packed with thousands of bioactive molecules, including peptide growth factors and mRNA that codes for collagen, keratin, elastin and other anti-aging and anti-inflammatory proteins,” adds ExoCel Bio.
“There are ten to 100 times greater variety of growth factors in Exovex than Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).”
How do exosomes work?
Exosomes are lipid bi-layer nanovesicles that envelop growth factors, mRNA and miRNA, lipids and cell-signaling proteins directed at cellular proliferation and repair, Schechter explains.
“Exovex has been demonstrated to consist of purified exosomes containing known regenerative biomolecules. Also, electron microscopy has shown that Exovex exosomes are close to a spherical shape that is thought to facilitate absorption by the target cells allowing for better absorption.”
“This likely enhances the rapid anti-inflammatory and regenerative response, demonstrated by rapid resolution of erythema and improved skin quality, with post-procedural topical application of Exovex,” he continues.
“Non-invasive solutions”
The scientists at ExoCel Bio developed the formula of Exovex after two years to create a safe alternative to artificial cosmetic solutions.
“The market is full of medical, cosmetic, and device options that artificially restore facial volume or relax wrinkles with toxins,” says Patrick Retif, CEO at ExoCel Bio.

Enhancing facial treatments
The Exovex serum is distributed in four concentrations ranging from five to 100 billion exosomes per vial. It is used with various procedures such as facials, micro-needling and energy-based devices.
Revive contains five billion exosomes for procedures that enhance facial skin and under-eye treatments.
Renew comes with 12 billion exosomes – helping to reduce “downtime after deeper facial aesthetic procedures and substantially reduces the post-procedural burning sensation.”
“Reveal, comprising 25 billion exosomes, is designed for topical application over larger treatment areas, for example, after procedures covering the full face, neck and décolleté.”
Lastly, Restore contains 100 billion exosomes for maximum regenerative effects.
