Nanoformulated wellness: Quicksilver Scientific debuts female hormone supplements
The wellness solutions target the transition from perimenopause to menopause
11 Nov 2021 --- Liposomal supplements company Quicksilver Scientific is launching two complementary, nanoformulated, female hormone health products that naturally bolster hormone levels and metabolism.
The Nanoformulated DHEA+ Female Hormone Tonic and Nanoformulated Progesterone+ Topical Replenishing Serum can support female health in perimenopause and beyond and are available via practitioners and direct-to-consumer.
“The body’s response to menopause can be different for every woman,” says Dr. Christopher Shade, founder and CEO of Quicksilver Scientific.
“But what doesn’t vary is that declines in hormone production are at the root of those responses. They can greatly benefit from natural supplements to help address the hormonal depletions that occur during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.”
As the natural production of female hormones begins to decline in the late twenties and early thirties, modern-day lifestyle factors – stress, adrenal fatigue, excess body fat, xenoestrogen exposure and more – can add to hormone depletion, which is the root of many issues that begin during perimenopause.
Quicksilver Scientific female hormone products are formulated to help restore balance and bring wellness to these years, the company supports.
DHEA+ Female Hormone Tonic harmonizes female hormones, helps to buffer stress and supports healthy brain function and libido.
It has a balanced blend of micronized DHEA, pregnenolone (the mother hormone), along with herbs and extracts. These include DIM, chrysin, GS15-4, maca root and dang gui.
Progesterone+ Replenishing Serum is the first-ever high-potency progesterone nanoemulsion serum for promoting beauty, the company says.
Female health spotlight
Women’s health is increasingly being recognized for its importance in leading a quality life. In this arena, Procter & Gamble’s period care brand Always and Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global launched “Always You,” a free period tracker and wellness app designed to help users track their cycle in less than 30 seconds and improve holistic well-being.
Moreover, L’Oréal announced a partnership with Clue, the period-tracking app with 12 million users in 190 countries, to deepen knowledge on the relationship between skin health and the menstrual cycle.
With female health in mind, Bonafide released Clairvee, an oral probiotic designed to restore and balance the vaginal microbiome, while Synbio Tech’s SynForU-HerCare lactobacilli strain was found effective in treating vaginal candidiasis.
Lastly, Lallemand Health Solutions’ orally administered probiotic L. Plantarum Rosella gained new indications from Health Canada. The federal institution recognized the probiotic’s capacity to help support a healthy vaginal microbiome by supporting healthy vaginal microflora.
