O Positiv Health, a US brand that supports women’s health with science-backed products, has unveiled the new products for the personal care market. The launches are designed with women’s specific needs in mind, and include clinically-studied ingredients proven to support intimate health, gut health, skin, brain health, as well as immunity.
Promoting hydration for vaginal comfort
O Positive’s Uro Vaginal Moisture Suppository provides fast, targeted support for vaginal hydration, daily comfort, and easier intimacy. The brand believes that direct vaginal delivery of hyaluronic acid helps restore moisture and support comfort, sensation, and intimacy.
Speaking to Personal Care Insights, Dr. Roxanne Pero, OBGYN MD, is part of O Positiv’s medical advisory board, and she explains how the suppository works.
“Uro delivers fast, targeted support where — and when — it’s needed most. The clinically studied dose of hyaluronic acid acts as a powerful moisture-binding ingredient that attracts and retains hydration to restore comfort.”
With vaginal health becoming an increasingly important topic for women’s health products, Pero believes what sets Uro apart is that “we start with science and work backward.” She says: “We select clinically studied ingredients at clinically studied doses. We want the science to speak louder than anything else.”
Flo Women’s Creatine + Electrolytes has been shown to support steady mental energy and efficient communication between neurons.Beyond the formulas, Uro was built by actually listening to women about where they felt let down by existing options. However, there’s still a huge gap between what women experience and what’s available to them, and Uro is designed to help close that gap, says Pero.
“We want to normalize the conversations so that women can ask for the solutions they deserve.”
Creatine for the female market
Another launch being highlighted is Flo Women’s Creatine + Electrolytes. O Positiv is harnessing the power of creatine as it helps regenerate ATP in brain cells, supporting steady mental energy and efficient communication between neurons. With electrolytes supporting cellular hydration, the brain stays better fueled, helping users feel sharp, says the brand.
Positioned to strengthen and tone the body, help with fitness recovery, hydration, and brain health, creatine is an ingredient with decades of research behind it, but Pero flags that “almost all of that research has been done on men.”
“It [creatine] has also been marketed almost exclusively to men. Women were missing out on the very real benefits, from muscle recovery and energy to brain health — all because the product landscape wasn’t speaking to them. Plus, women naturally store less creatine than men, which further emphasizes the need for a targeted solution. Flo Creatine + Electrolytes was created to change that framing entirely and bring these benefits to those who have been left out of the conversation.”
Pero flags that creatine can be helpful for many stages and circumstances of a woman’s life: pregnancy, postpartum, sleep deprivation, high stress, perimenopause, and more.
“While almost exclusively marketed as a gym supplement, creatine does so much more — like playing a critical role in cellular energy production in the brain. For women especially, research is showing promising links between creatine and cognitive energy, mood support, and mental clarity. Pair that with electrolytes, which are critical for hydration and muscle recovery, and you have a formula that supports women daily, not just as a fitness routine,” she explains.
Creatine helps the body recycle ATP more efficiently, especially when energy is depleted — and that includes the brain. Pero adds that “emerging research shows it may support attention, memory, and cognitive function, with even higher doses showing promise for neuroprotective benefits.”
Ingredient synergies
Uro Women’s Probiotic + Collagen is a simple, once-daily scoop unflavored powder that, according to O Positiv, “goes beyond traditional collagen by combining 10 g of collagen peptides with the same targeted probiotic strains featured in Uro Vaginal Probiotic capsules, plus XOS prebiotics.”
The result is a comprehensive formula that supports vaginal health, including pH and odor, while also promoting gut health, digestion, skin, joints, hair, nails, and immune support.
Explaining how targeted probiotic strains and prebiotics work together to support vaginal health, Pero says “a single scoop fortifies vaginal — as well as digestive and skin health — through a powerful blend of pre- and probiotics, collagen peptides, and key vitamins.”
These powerhouse ingredients work together to support the microbiome and collagen network — both foundational to women’s health, she adds.
Importantly, flags Pero, collagen is a critical structural component of the gut barrier — the system responsible for keeping harmful substances contained within the gut lumen while allowing nutrients to be absorbed into the bloodstream.
“A well-functioning gut barrier is essential for optimal health and the prevention of chronic disease. Emerging preclinical evidence suggests that collagen peptides may support barrier integrity, modulate the gut microbiome, and reduce inflammation.”
Products backed by science
According to O Positiv’s co-founder, Brianna Bitton, an evidence-based approach is always at the core of the brand’s launches targeting a female-driven market.
O Positiv’s Uro Vaginal Moisture Suppository provides fast, targeted support for vaginal hydration, daily comfort, and easier intimacy.
“We always start with the clinical evidence. Every product begins with a pain point we know women experience, and we partner with doctors to develop formulas that will address these concerns. Together, we look for ingredients with meaningful research behind them, at doses that match what was studied.”
“We create informed, medically-backed products to give women the solutions they deserve,” says Bitton.
The biggest challenge is that so much foundational research was not done with women in mind, which means O Positiv is often working to fill in blanks that shouldn’t exist. On top of that, remarks Bitton, women’s health, particularly intimate, is still under-discussed and under-served.
“Getting people to speak openly about what they are experiencing and what they need, and then building products that meet those needs, takes a lot of work and intentionality.”
“We consider the full experience, from efficacy to a woman’s experience using it consistently, such as format, texture, taste, and ease of use. We’re not afraid to go back and reformulate if our customers have strong feedback. Efficacy matters, but so does whether a product feels like it was made for you. Caring for yourself and your body shouldn’t feel like a chore, which is why we have, from the start, made gummy and chewable options of so many of our products,” she concludes.
