Robertet introduces e-platform to offer direct channel for fragrance professionals
20 Sep 2022 --- The Robertet Group, a specialist in raw materials for the fragrance industry, is launching its e-shop, dubbed e-Robertet, as a sales platform for organic essential oils intended for professionals. The company touts the platform as the “first online shop of 100% natural and organic essential oils.”
The Robertet Group is involved in the sourcing process for professionals to offer a stable supply, high-quality processing and a direct channel.
“Our products are suitable for many applications like fragrances, flavors, aromatherapy and cosmetics for their scent, taste but also their active properties,” Julien Maubert, head of raw materials division at Robertet, tells PersonalCareInsights.
“The market is evolving. We are now used to purchasing almost everything instantly online. Therefore we adapted to the needs of this new generation of customers that want to buy their product directly and quickly without having to exchange emails or calls with a supplier.”
The e-shop is a digital extension of the Group and remains in the business-to-business sector, stocking essential oils, vegetable oils and floral waters.
“A VAT number is required to register on e-Robertet and place an order. In order to be reactive and [provide good] service, we offer our ingredients in seven different packages, from 5 g to 180 kgs. There is no minimum order value.”
As per the company, natural and organic products are becoming a significant consumer trend, with traceability and transparency taking center stage in consumers’ expectations.
According to Innova Market Insights, personal care launches with a botanical or herbal claim are increasing globally, with an average annual growth of +10% (CAGR November 2016 to October 2021).
“E-Robertet is a supplier of natural solutions and all our products are [environmentally] sustainably sourced. Thanks to a vast international network of partners, from plant cooperatives to organic farmers, Robertet invests, sources locally and controls the raw material from the field,” says Maubert.
“You will find flagship products of our industry, such as ylang-ylang, tea tree, rose, cedar wood, lavender, sandalwood, rosemary, mint essential oils and many more on our platform.”
E-Robertet offers a range of organic products that will be expanded with conventional products in the following weeks.
Rooted in traditions
With representation in more than 50 countries today, the Robertet Group’s principal activities involve transforming natural plant ingredients into volatile and non-volatile extracts.
These extracts are then used to create flavors, fragrances and active ingredients in the health and beauty fields.
The Robertet Group has been present in the fragrance market for 170 years, but was limited to specialists in the fragrance industry and the major composition houses for a long time. With e-Robertet, the Group aims to “extend its range of organic essential oils to new horizons.”
