The Canadian government has published its final strategy on animal testing, but Cruelty Free International argues that gaps remain. Monica Engebretson, head of public affairs for North America at Cruelty Free International, says the strategy does not commit to funding or fixing deadlines. In turn, despite consumer support, the strategy does not prioritize replacing animal testing, but rather only reduction and refinement.
