Personal care insights reported from In Cosmetics 2025 in Amsterdam.
I'm here at the brun stand with Rachel Davison, who is the personal care technical director for Amir.
Welcome to you.
Thank you.
So can you start by telling us about some of your latest, solutions and the consumer trends you're tapping into with these products?
Yeah, so the trend that we're focusing on for in Cosmetics 2025 is our biohacking and longevity concept.
So within this we've developed 10 innovative formulations to showcase the best of our ingredients, show their functionalities, and show how we can really fit consumer trends.
Biohacking has been identified by our technical marketing team as a huge trend for this year.
It was up and coming in 2024, and it's all about tapping into the skin's own systems to bring out the best in your skin's health and wellbeing.
OK, and as you know, sustainability is a big priority for customers and for consumers.
In what ways is the company are you working to support planetary health?
So if we look in terms of our ingredients, it's really important to us.
And we're specifically focusing on bringing ingredients from suppliers which are biodegradable alternatives for some of the more traditional ingredients like PVPs, silicons, to make sure that we've got a full range that customers can take into their formulations and create complete solutions that meet the sustainability needs of the future.
That's interesting.
And looking forwards, in what ways do you work as a company to privatize certain areas of R&D and innovation?
So the focus for this year is to.
Be more direct with customers and have them more in contact directly with the technical teams.
We've just talked about some new ingredients and the new innovations in the industry.
It's often challenging to use those in formulations.
They pose totally different technological challenges to their predecessor ingredients, and we'd like to work with customers, have discussions with them, and help them get those ingredients into the market in successful formulations.
That's great, thanks for your time today.
Thank you.
