20 Apr 2023 | Ingredion
Divya Patel, EMEA Beauty and Home business development manager at Ingredion spotlights waterless beauty as a rising trend as consumers demand environmentally sustainable solutions. The company is promoting dry emulsions and formulations like paste, cleansing powder and shampoo to address the world’s water problem. Patel also shares with us the opportunity provided by In-Cosmetics Global trade show to move away from computer screens and learn about personal care products and technology innovations from around the world.
This is Radhikaakaria here for CNS Media.
I'm talking to Divya Patel at Ingredient.
Divya, could you introduce yourself and the brand, please?
I'm Devia Patel.
I'm in charge for the business development for, Ingredient, at EMEA level.
So, ingredient.
As you can see, we're trying to promote our starch which will act in a different basis like for texturizer, sensorial modifier, viscosity enhancer.
We have a full range that is applied like yeah in a different.
Applications, emulsions, makeup applications, but also trying to surf with the trends, which is completely the waterless beauty where we are trying to also put ourselves right.
Could you tell me a little bit about waterless beauty, please?
Waterless beauty.
So basically today more and more what we are trying to do is to use less water.
And this is what consumers are completely looking into final formulations.
So we're trying to promote also emultrients and formulations like paste, cleansing powders that are completely dry, dry shampoo also, and our ingredient portfolio with.
Natural starch, cosmo certified organic certified starch are completely suitable with it.
You can get also soap, but really now the trend is getting more and more powder formulation as to use less water because the world is lacking water now, right?
So how does that tap into the sustainability?
That's completely typing the sustainability orientation today because it's completely the trend, but we are also getting more and more conscious with our use of water in our prototype formulation that we give to consumers and to customers.
Also, we're trying to.
Yes, stay with the sustainability.
We're trying to be more echo with the packaging and everything that we are using as , right?
Why do you think trade shows like this in cosmetics are important?
In cosmetics, I would say is the most important trade show in the personal care industry because it's a nice place to see what, OK, what it's really linked with the innovation as.
Because customers are coming here to see what are the new, what are the new trends, what are the new formulations, but it's also a way to see, OK, what is happening around us, because when you're just in front of your computer, it's not the place where you will see what is happening in the world and in cosmetic is the place to be to see what is happening in the cosmetic world.
Perfect.
Thank you so much for talking to us today.
