Key takeaways

- Long-term treatment planning with practitioners significantly increases patient satisfaction.
- Allergan Aesthetics is evolving its AA Signature framework to align with global consumer trends.

Allergan Aesthetics has reported that there is a trend toward multimodal treatment plans and holistic aspirations in medical aesthetics. The company’s newest survey analyzed data from over 12,000 participants globally and revealed that consumers are increasingly interested in pursuing treatment combinations and striving for natural-looking results.
“Medical aesthetics is entering an exciting era, where patients are embracing a broader, more holistic perspective on their treatment journeys,” says Mark Wilson, senior vice president, International, Allergan Aesthetics.
The study, Layered Beauty: The New Aesthetic Mindset, is said to be one of the largest of its kind. The participants spanned nine countries (Canada, US, UK, China, Brazil, France, Germany, Thailand, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). The research illuminates how consumers are navigating the changing and expanding landscape of aesthetic options and the role of practitioners in guiding patients.
The report details that 62% of participants are interested in multiple aesthetic treatments, 78% report that they are more content with their aesthetic treatment plan if they have a long-term plan with a practitioner, while 59% are likely to favor a planned multi-treatment approach.
The AbbVie subsidiary is set to present updates to its AA Signature framework to align with these consumer findings at the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress 2026 (AMWC) in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
“At AMWC, our program provides a tangible demonstration of how Allergan Aesthetics has built a portfolio and education platform to help health care professionals deliver the results their patients want. We continue to learn and evolve our proprietary multimodal approach, AA Signature,” adds Wilson.

Multimodal treatments are shaping modern aesthetic journeys.
According to Wilson, the portfolio prioritizes multimodal integration and flexibility across offerings to achieve holistic combinations that can be tailored to individual patients’ needs.AA Signature
