Beetles Gel Polish has announced the Beetles Loves Earth Free Recycling Program in collaboration with TerraCycle to recycle glass nail polish bottles along with their associated plastic caps. The initiative will recycle dry, empty gel polish and regular nail polish bottles from any brand.
The companies say that most curbside recycling programs do not accept empty or unused gel and nail polish bottles because of residual product, complex cleaning requirements, and processing costs that can outweigh recovered material value.
Through the Beetles Loves Earth Free Recycling Program, all accepted items can be recycled into raw materials and utilized to produce new products. Glass components are turned into recycled raw materials used in construction products, including bricks, cement, and concrete.
“Through this program, we aim to recycle 50,000 nail product glass bottles and help turn them into raw materials used to make new products — keeping valuable materials in circulation and out of landfills and incinerators,” says Beetles Gel Polish.
Responsible bottle recycling
Beetles Gel Polish offers recycling guidelines on its campaign page for consumers and professionals. The packaging is accepted at designated Beetles Loves Earth drop-off points.
The company will provide tiered rewards based on the number of eligible bottles returned, including products, coupons, and limited-edition gift boxes, to encourage participation. The brand is also set to develop a mail-in recycling option to make participation more convenient.
