Cetaphil adds range of serums for eye and face hydration applications to Hydration Optimal portfolio
31 May 2022 --- US-based skincare brand Cetaphil unveils a facial line to complement its Cetaphil Hydration Optimal portfolio. In addition to a facial moisturizer, the brand introduces “for the first time” two serums to its portfolio, each targeting the eye and face areas.
“The inclusion of serums in the skincare routine is critical. These items have a light texture and fast absorption, allowing the region to have deeper and longer-lasting hydration,” says Cetaphil.
The line has the distinctive hydrosensitiv complex, which contains Blue Daisy. This botanical substance is considered a natural sedative and hyaluronic acid, which provides constant hydration in the skin and, when combined, produces a renewing appearance.
The Cetaphil Optimal Hydration range is available at the country’s major retail outlets.
Improving skin texture, firmness and hydration
The brand’s Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Facial Serum has a light texture and may offer fast absorption. The facial serum is also pegged as having a “rejuvenating and soothing action.”
Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Facial Serum may improve the luminosity and texture of the skin after the first month of use. The brand adds that the serum also assists in the revitalization of sensitive skin and increases hydration by 50%.
In the eye area, the serum provides moisture and is also marketed as having a quick absorption rate. Cetaphil adds that the serum was tested on sensitive skin and after one month of use, it “promotes a significant decrease” in eye bags, wrinkles and expression lines around the eyes.
The eye serum is also touted as improving skin firmness and texture.
Initial hydration line and environmental moves
Cetaphil previously unveiled its Optimal Hydration line comprising a facial serum, eye serum, and facial moisturizer, which combines hydration and lightness. The skincare line was formulated with Blue daisy, which has a soothing effect on the skin and contains hyaluronic acid to provide renewing and moisturizing properties.
In previous business developments, Galderma partnered with Cetaphil to renew its efforts to environmental sustainability and social impact through the Clear Skies Initiative. The science-based strategy was rolled out in line with the company’s aims to reduce environmental impact, formulate cleaner ingredients, develop smarter packaging and serve communities.
