Estée Lauder launches mood-boosting fragrance range to elevate sensorial experiences
30 Sep 2021 --- Estée Lauder has unveiled a range of eight new scents that boast mood-boosting properties. The range is formulated to allow each scent to last up to 12 hours after a single application thanks to Estée Lauder’s exclusive ScentCapture Fragrance Extender technology.
The collection will be available at Estée Lauder counters nationwide, online and major airports beginning in October.
The Luxury Fragrance collection is marketed as leaving consumers’ “mind and senses thrillingly alive, awakened and transformed.”
“Each fragrance is crafted with the finest ingredients and mood-boosting scents to ignite the imagination and unlock a heightened sensorial experience,” says the company.
Estée Lauder also supports that scents were found to “evoke specific emotions” in those who were drawn to them, demonstrated by independent neurosensorial testing.
Storytelling with scents
Tender Light is a citrus green fragrance. The fresh scent of an exclusively crafted Chinese tea accord is surrounded by the freshness of bergamot and warm florentine iris. The perfume is inspired by the warmth and joy of sunlight, the company states. It evokes emotions of positivity and joy.
Sensuous Stars evokes emotions of calm and happiness. It is a fruity chypre fragrance with a chinese plum base note, surrounded by orris from Italy and french lavender. It is inspired by a peaceful walk under the stars, the company says. The Chinese plum flower symbolizes resilience and strength, the company notes.
Dream Dusk is a floral marine scent. The perfume includes cherry blossom accord blended with notes of blackcurrant buds from burgundy and Chinese geraniums. It is inspired by a magical secret garden at dusk and evokes emotions of cheerfulness.
Radiant Mirage evokes emotions of positivity and optimism and is inspired by new adventures. It is a white floral woody fragrance based on notes of jasmine sambac from China, surrounded by Australian sandalwood and Indonesian patchouli. Jasmine sambac blossom is included as it symbolizes beauty and grace, the company explains.
Desert Eden, which evokes emotions of confidence and energy, is a sensual woody floral scent and it symbolizes spiritual healing. Noble sandalwood is surrounded by Turkish rose and olibanum.
Blushing Sands is a woody vetiver perfume. The combination of vetiver from Haiti and pink pepper, along with musk accord complete this fresh scent. It evokes emotions of relaxation and sensuousness, as vetiver symbolizes prosperity and longevity.
Paradise Moon is marketed as “nectar-like” and it evokes emotions of happiness and confidence. It is a leather floral fragrance, based on three types of osmanthus flowers surrounded by citrus oil from Spain and untamed burnished leather accord. It is inspired by a moonlit forest and osmanthus symbolizes nobility and love, the company supports.
Lastly, Infinite Sky, which evokes emotions of confidence and sensuality, is an amber spicy fragrance. It includes Sichuan pepper from China and is surrounded by smoky sweet Madagascar vanilla and leatherwood. Sichuan pepper symbolizes harmony and balance, Estée Lauder details.
Capturing the scents
Each fragrance comes in a fluted glass bottle with the collar decorated with a gold rope detail, inspired by traditional Estée Lauder packaging.
Moreover, every bottle includes a plaque with a symbol representing the main ingredient in each scent.
The gold cap features a monogram inspired by an original Estée Lauder logo uncovered from the Leonard A. Lauder Estée Lauder Companies Archives. It is exclusive to the Luxury Collection.
Sustainable packaging is quickly becoming a focus for the brand’s mother company Estée Lauder Companies. Recently, it collaborated with heat and cool surface technology provider Roctool to create eco-friendly packaging solutions for Clinique’s luxury beauty bottles.
Moreover, Estée Lauder Companies and specialty materials provider Eastman announced a global memorandum of understanding (MOU) enabling ELC to reach its 2025 sustainable packaging goals. The company pledged that 75 to 100% of its packaging will be recyclable, refillable, reusable, recycled or recoverable by 2025.
