Live Conscious unveils clinically-backed supplement for hair growth

Health supplement brand, Live Conscious, has launched Clinical Hair Growth+, a supplement with Serevelle, a saw palmetto extract. A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study found that this ingredient increases hair growth by 35% in 90 days. 

The supplement combines collagen, botanicals, and essential vitamins with clinically supported ingredients to promote natural hair growth, scalp health, and strong strands from within. 

It is designed for men and women experiencing age-related hair thinning, shedding, or a lack of density.

The three-in-one hair multivitamin supplement is formulated to reduce typical hair shedding, bolster visible hair density, promote healthy hair growth at the root level, maintain hair strength and structure, and support overall scalp health.

Clinical support

The supplement features Serevelle, a saw palmetto extract from Valensa International that supports hair growth and helps reduce shedding. The US-based nutraceutical supplier notes that the extract is clinically proven in women and men.

The ingredient was tested for 180 days on men and women, aged 25–65, with 40 participants using the active ingredient and 20 taking a placebo. The researchers used 2D digital imaging for hair grading, trichoscopy imaging, and a hair shedding pull test.

According to Valensa International, the research found that Serevelle, compared to a placebo, has a 12.8 times greater increase in hair density and fuller scalp coverage.

It also showed 3.8 times improvement in hair volume and a 35 times increase in reactivated hair follicles.

Moreover, the company notes that hair grew an additional 40% at 180 days compared to 90 days and the placebo.

Comprehensive hair support

In addition to Serevelle, Clinical Hair Growth+ contains Tocogaia, an antioxidant complex from PhytoGaia that supports scalp health and hair density. Clinical research also supports this ingredient’s benefits in healthy aging, antioxidant defense, and genomic stability.

It also contains hydrolyzed bovine collagen, a botanical blend of horsetail, reishi mushroom, and amla for hair vitality, and an essential multivitamin blend to support healthy hair growth.

In other hair growth news, researchers found that a stevia-derived sweetener can accelerate hair growth. A well-known ingredient for hair loss, minoxidil, dissolves 18 times better when combined with stevioside.

Meanwhile, Nutrafol rolled out its hair care and growth supplements at Ulta Beauty last year. Its supplements are formulated to address common root causes of hair thinning, such as stress, hormones, and aging.
