Pili Ani enters US lip care market with moisturizing lip butters
19 Apr 2022 --- Pili Ani, a Filipina-owned skincare brand, has released its moisturizing Pili Lip Butters in the US. The new moisturizing Pili Lip Butters contain the brand’s “hero ingredient,” pili oil, which may have hydrating benefits, revitalizing skin, and richness in antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamin E.
“In the Philippines, pili oil, a skin superfood, is locally known as the fountain of youth in a nutshell,” says Mary Jane Tan-Ong, co-founder at Pili Ani.
“As the only brand in the world with this ingredient, we’re excited to bring US consumers their smoothest lips yet with the launch of this collection in the US.”
According to the brand, the pili oil is churned and carefully combined to create Pili Butter for this collection. This new ingredient formulation gives the product a creamier and “fluffier” feel, making it easier to glide over the lips.
The lip butters also feature elemi oil, which may aid with rejuvenating and revitalizing skin by balancing sebum production, reducing breakouts and evening out the complexion.
Suitable for lip and skin applications
The Pili Lip Butters can be used on the lips and cheeks. The butter aids with hydration and provides customers a pop of color while melting away hard skin flakes and nourishing chapped lips.
Additionally, the brand adds that the Lip Butters contain carotenoids and antioxidants that aid in softening the lips and reducing cracks on the skin. The butter may also reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles.
The range of tinted colors includes barely red, barely there, berry and choclát. These are also pegged as the top four best-selling tinted shades from the brand’s original collection. Mint, a new non-tinted color, is also available.
The moisturizing lip butters can be purchased on the brands’ website.

Meanwhile, Mibelle Biochemistry unveiled its two skin moisturizers – SLVR’Coffee and NovoRetin at the in-cosmetics 2022 event. Unilever brand Vaseline saw an increased appeal for skin healing and protection claims with the viral “slugging” TikTok trend. The practice includes applying a thin layer of Vaseline to the skin as the final step of a skincare routine to seal in moisture.
