Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances fully acquires Innovative Fragrances
19 Apr 2022 --- Essential oil and aroma chemical company Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances has completed its acquisition of Innovative Fragrances, a supplier for personal care and various aroma-based products.
Jim Unrath, president at Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances, says: “[We are] pleased to complete the acquisition of Innovative Fragrances, as we believe it represents a highly complementary business.”
“With shared values and a vision, as a technical expert in the creation of fine fragrance compounds, and a strong team of perfumers, salespeople, customer service representatives and stringent QA/QC – all of which are leveraged to create a high-service business model with emphasis on meeting and exceeding the technical, quality and regulatory requirements of customers.”
With a future-facing focus, the company plans to continue growing with more acquisitions in the fragrance and flavor sector.
Expansion and future growth
The acquisition allows Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances to extend its geographic reach, notes the company.
“The addition of Innovative Fragrances to Phoenix enhances the geographic reach of the platform in the Southeast US and enhances the strength of the perfumery, regulatory and technical solutions Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances offers to customers,” says the company.
“It continues to focus on expanding the value-added platform; seeking targeted opportunities to enhance the value, quality, and breadth of solutions it brings to customers.”
Additionally, the acquisition of Innovative Fragrances supports Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances’ aim to be a “high-performance” developer of fragrances and flavors. Attaining the support of a team of perfumers and regulatory experts to meet customer needs.
Innovative Fragrances is noted to offer an extensive portfolio of value-added services. This includes fragrance development and duplication, custom formulation, in-house laboratory quality assurance and control, sampling and regulatory and technical support.
Catching new scents
Personal care giant Beiersdorf recently developed Nivea Men Climate Care Moisturizer to meet the demands for planet-conscious skincare products. The company harnesses carbon dioxide recycling technology to produce its limited edition.
Further in men’s perfume, Calvin Klein Fragrances, a division of Coty, was awarded the first Cradle to Cradle gold certification in perfume for its CK Everyone Eau de Parfum, achieving gold ranking in all five key areas. The products are notably vegan, with 77% of ingredients coming from natural origins, including alcohol.
