Lithuanian-founded skin care brand Savaip has launched the Multi-Soothing SOS Mask, a dual-action product formulated for sensitive skin concerns, eczema, dermatitis, and acne.
Savaip aims to address a gap in the skin care market, where consumers traditionally have to choose between calming or clarifying treatments. The either/or approach can lead to skin irritation, barrier damage, and, in some cases, allergic reactions.
Additionally, the launch aligns with growing consumer demand for multi-purpose products that offer efficiency and simplicity. By combining barrier-repairing ingredients with acne-targeting actives in a single formula, the brand says it is positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in sensitive skin care.
Personal Care Insights speaks to the brand’s founder, Sita Juoceryte, about the natural and science-backed skin care line rooted in Lithuanian culture.
“Real innovation is missing. Too many products are just copies, white labels, or built to fit into systems designed by giants already dominating the market,” says Juoceryte.
“Saviap is rooted in Lithuanian culture and its nature-based traditions. Savaip means ‘in your own way,’ embodying a belief that skin care should be personal, creative, and empowering. Today, Savaip positions itself as sensitive skin care for post-acne and barrier-damaged skin, blending clinically proven, natural ingredients.”
Savaip’s product range boasts vegan and sensitive skin-friendly claims. It is also microbiome-beneficial, enriched with scientifically proven ingredients, and is fragrance- and alcohol-free.
How do you differentiate your philosophy from other emerging science-backed skin care brands?
Juoceryte: Our difference lies in being science-informed and heart-led. We’re not solely lab-driven, our formulas are guided by lived experience on sensitive, barrier-damaged, acne-prone skin. We prioritize natural yet scientifically validated ingredients and choose skin-friendly preservatives.
Savaip says they offer ingredient safety, compliant labelling, and cosmetic positioning. Beyond efficacy, we inject playfulness and color — skin care should not be clinical or dull. Our packaging celebrates self-expression and joy, turning the routine into a mini sensory escape.
Are you seeing growing consumer demand for multifunctional product formulations?
Juoceryte: Absolutely. Today’s consumer values efficiency, simplicity, and versatility. Skin isn’t static, it shifts with season, stress, and hormones.
Multifunctional formulations that hydrate, soothe, and gently treat concerns meet this need. Our brand ethos of mixing and matching ‘hydrate,’ ‘nurture,’ and ‘maintain’ lines caters to that fluidity.
What unmet needs did you identify that led to the development of the Multi-Soothing SOS Mask?
Juoceryte: We saw a vast unmet demand among people dealing with dryness, eczema, or dermatitis-prone skin. While many products target acne or anti-aging, there are far fewer effective, clean-formulated solutions for highly reactive, barrier-damaged skin.
Many of the options on the market rely on harsh actives or use ingredient systems that are not well tolerated by sensitive skin.
The Multi-Soothing SOS Mask was born out of that gap. Beyond being a mask, it doubles as a nourishing daily cream for those with extremely dry or compromised skin.
We wanted to give people a universal product that soothes immediately, restores comfort, and provides lasting barrier support without irritation.
The demand for ‘clean,’ microbiome-friendly, and multifunctional care is growing, and this product responds directly to that need.
Can you talk us through the R&D journey?
Juoceryte: Blending emollient, soothing actives with acne-targeting ingredients, without compromising barrier integrity, was complex.
We started with barrier-supportive foundations, ceramides, gentle humectants, pre- and post-biotics, and microbiome-friendly emollients. We layered in acne-calming elements, carefully selecting only mild, non-comedogenic botanicals or derivatives that would not strip or inflame. Savaip is rooted in Lithuanian skin care traditions, utilizing natural ingredients and citing free-from claims.
Stability, texture, and tolerability testing were rigorous. We tested throughout seasonal extremes in Lithuania to ensure the formulation held together under variable conditions. The biggest hurdles involved achieving a pleasant, soothing texture that still delivered visible results, without any tightening or irritation — this was an act of precision and balance.
Is the Multi-Soothing SOS Mask supported by clinical testing or trials?
Juoceryte: We conducted standard dermatological testing for tolerance on sensitive skin. The results confirmed that the formula is well-tolerated and provides immediate relief and hydration.
While we haven’t yet published the full-scale clinical trial data, the mask’s actives are backed by independent clinical studies demonstrating their efficacy in reducing dryness, irritation, and barrier dysfunction.
How do you see Savaip positioning itself internationally, given diverse regulatory landscapes for eczema and acne?
Juoceryte: We categorize our products as cosmetics, not medical treatments. We emphasize barrier support, hydration, and post-acne recovery, making them accessible in most international markets.
Where stricter regulatory standards apply, such as the EU and US, we ensure ingredient safety, compliant labeling, and general wellness positioning.
As for markets where claims for eczema or acne may trigger medical classification, we stay aligned with allowed language like ‘barrier repair,’ ‘soothing,’ and ‘post-acne’ rather than medical claims.
Our strategy is universal, gentle care, and regionally compliant communication.
