Summer’s here: Babyganics develops mineral-based sun protection products for children’s range
02 Jun 2022 --- US-based Babyganics is adding two mineral-based sun protection products to its portfolio – Babyganics Kids SPF 50 non-aerosol sunscreen spray and Babyganics Kids Roll-On, 50 SPF – designed for easy applications on toddlers and children.
In detail, the new products feature a non-aerosol spray that makes applying for full-body coverage easy and “a roll-on that lets sun protection glide over the more difficult portions of the body,” the company says.
Babyganic’s entire line contains six products manufactured with an all-mineral active ingredient formula that is free of parabens, phthalates, perfumes and nanoparticles, offering a broad-spectrum SPF 50 UVA/UVB protection.
Easy to apply solutions
Babyganics’ non-aerosol spray includes a continuous mist to cover up children while on the run, making it ideal for children who can not sit still. The company adds its easy-on spray glides on smoothly for bigger body areas like arms, backs and legs, “making sunscreen application a snap.”
The second product – Babyganics Kids 50 SPF Roll-On – is ideal for the hard-to-reach areas like earlobes and tops of feet. The rollerball allows for easy application and seamless coverage that reaches all of the body’s nooks and creases.
The company formulated this product as “getting your child to apply sunscreen before jumping in the pool or going outside to play can feel like a near-impossible task.”
The entire range of mineral-based sun care
The two new products are marketed as being sun-resistant and skin-friendly.
Additionally, each product in the mineral-based suncare range is dermatologically and pediatrician tested, tear-free, non-allergenic and not tested on animals. Apart from the broad-spectrum SPF, they are water and perspiration resistant for up to 80 minutes.
The mineral sunscreen range includes an SPF 50+ Sunscreen suitable for children. Secondly, the SPF 50+ sunscreen stick is suitable for easy application and targeted protection. The SPF 50+ sunscreen spray and the b Kids SPF 50+ sunscreen lotion are the other two products in the Babyganics range.
In detail, the b Kids SPF 50+ sunscreen lotion is pegged as “providing broad-spectrum protection,” and it minimizes the risk of sunburn.
Apart from the sun protection range, the company also created a Sunscreen 101 page for parents providing information on product ingredients, a glossary of sunscreen terms and application guidance.
Spotlight on sun protection
As the summer season has begun, industry players have been rolling out products to protect the skin. L’Oréal recently unveiled its latest sun-filtering technology, UVMune 400, that protects the skin from ultra-long UVA radiation – the 30% of sun rays that have been insufficiently screened.
Meanwhile, sunscreen brand Supergoop! and Blackstone Growth, a global investment business, teamed up with “world-class” investors to promote and improve the usage of SPF for skin protection around the world.
Lastly, Eucerin’s dermatologically created Eucerin Sun care range, which contains five antioxidants to fight skin aging, expands into the US sun care market. The brand aims to help people of all skin kinds and tones maintain good skin health.
