Syensqo is placing responsible beauty at the forefront of its operations at In-cosmetics Global 2026, Paris, France (April 14–16). The Belgian multinational chemicals and materials company is set to unveil its skin and hair care portfolio expansions, including a biotech peptide and a ceramide delivery technology.
The advancements, including the company’s first move into scalp care, are said to be representative of its commitment to innovation and formulation expertise with a focus on efficacy and sustainability, like biobased solutions.
“Beauty innovation today requires more than new ingredients. It demands smarter science and more responsible design,” says Jean-Guy Le Helloco, vice president of Consumer Care at Syensqo.
“By extending our hair and skin science expertise into areas such as scalp care, and by harnessing natural ingredients and artificial intelligence, Syensqo continues to enable brands to deliver high-performance solutions that keep pace with evolving consumer expectations.”
Science-backed solutions
At In-cosmetics Global, Syensqo will show the Re2 Coffea Arabica Peptide, a clinically-backed scalp care ingredient derived from coffee grounds, targeting sensitive scalps. The active ingredient utilizes proprietary molecular docking technology to extract targeted peptide fragments. The solution is touted to soothe the scalp, enhance hydration, strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce hair loss by more than 80%.
In addition to the peptide, Syensqo is unveiling science-backed solutions with potential applications in skin care and hair care formulations.
Cerafy Clear NP Boost is a ceramide-loaded liposome delivery system, specifically engineered to optimize ceramide release into the skin. It is said to provide efficacious anti-wrinkle benefits, deep hydration, skin repair, and possess calming properties. The liposomes can be incorporated into clear, water-based formulations and are aligned with use in rinse-off and leave-on products.
Biobased ingredients
The new biotech peptide targets sensitive scalps for enhanced hydration and reduced hair loss.
Syensqo will also unveil Dermalcare Velvet, a plant-based emollient and natural substitute for lanolin. It is developed for applications in baby care, skin care, sun care, and makeup. Its film-forming properties offer sustained hydration and protection. When used in sun care and color cosmetics applications, it is said to possess superior water resistance, minimize color transfer, and optimize SPF characteristics.
Also at the show, the chemicals company will launch Polycare Split Therapy SGI, a biobased polymer derived from Syensqo’s Sustainable Guar Initiative. It is said to provide long-lasting strand repair and a desirable sensoriality and to seal up to 90% of split ends, making it suitable for various hair treatments, including bleaching and coloring.
Syensqo plans to showcase Naternal Care XTRA, a fenugreek-powered, biodegradable, and biobased conditioning polymer with conditioning efficacy for damaged hair.
Also being featured is Miracare OPR 2, a biobased and biodegradable opacifier ingredient developed as an alternative to traditional synthetic opacifiers. It is said to enable a “bright, creamy, milky appearance,” improving the visual appeal of products.
All four launches will be featured in the Innovation Zone at In-cosmetics Global 2026. Additionally, two eco-responsible products will be showcased in the Sustainability Zone.
