Tresalis has acquired well-being fragrance house Vyrao. The new owner-operator platform focuses on acquiring and growing science- and efficacy-led consumer health, beauty, and wellness brands.
Vyrao is Tresalis’s debut acquisition as it aims to buy and develop differentiated brands, “combining long-term capital with hands-on operating capabilities across brand growth, commercialization, international expansion and shared infrastructure.” The transaction positions Vyrao under Tresalis’s majority ownership and operating partnership.
The platform is acquiring and building science-led brands as it grows its portfolio. It is anchored by German family office Athos and beauty entrepreneur Dr. Fernando Tamez.
Tamez says that the platform is “focused on identifying exceptional brands with strong authenticity, differentiated intellectual property, and significant international potential.”
He touts Vyrao as “a rare brand that sits at the intersection of luxury fragrance, emotional well-being, and credible science with a truly distinctive identity and enormous potential to scale globally.”
Tresalis states that Vyrao will preserve its brand identity and leadership while benefiting from the group’s clinical experience, operating resources, and global network.
The transaction maintains Vyrao founder Yasmin Sewell’s and the existing investors’ minority equity interests in the business. Sewell will continue to spearhead the brand’s creative and strategic direction as founder, chief brand officer, and shareholder.
