At PCHi 2026, Julia Kang of Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant outlined the launch of AlgaSurge, a multifunctional skin care ingredient that meets Chinese consumers’ demand for fast-acting results. Backed by clinical data showing performance beyond a hyaluronic acid benchmark, the ingredient features a vegan source of PDRN, which is typically derived from salmon DNA. Catherine Breffa of Clariant also detailed Plantasens Emulsifier HP 49, Aristoflex Sun, and solutions from the Hostapon range as ingredients catering to China’s beauty market.
