OK.
Personal care insights reporting from In Cosmetics 2025 in Amsterdam.
I'm here at the scent made by DSM Firminex stand with Nathalia Moller, who is communications and public relations specialist.
Welcome to you.
Thank you.
So can you start by telling us about the ScentM platform and how it can be used to create exciting new fragrances?
So Scentmate is much more than just a platform.
It's a new way to creating scent in a more approachable way for our customers and brands.
Basically our platform.
What it offers is a simple and easy way, a new approach to creating this fragrance brief through an integrated and digital platform so that you can have all the creation process of your fragrance in the same place digitally.
That's interesting.
And what are the main fragrance trends you're noticing currently and how can businesses tap into these trends?
So nowadays what we really see is the trend of the functional benefits, specifically on emotions.
Consumers are not only looking for fragrances that really smell good, but also that give something else, right, that gives these functions extra function.
In this sense, emotions are working super, super , like bringing happiness, relaxation, even mental performance or energy booster so that we have technologies that really can elicit this into consumers while they are smelling.
Other other trends that are very interesting are this transparency in storytelling.
Of the the product of the ingredients that these fragrances have inside, for example, the upcycled trend is something that is really, really looking and interesting for the consumer.
So it's not only about the sustainable packaging, but also sustainable storytelling of the ingredients inside.
And as you know, artificial intelligence is increasingly.
Emerging in the beauty industry, how can AI systems be harnessed to create improved fragrances?
So this is a very interesting question because AI really from our side is enhancing our perfumers, for example, to be even more creative, bring even more value, because basically AI helps us digest a lot of proprietary data, trends and.
Insights to digest them and help our perfumers focus really on where they bring value, which is creating and digesting this information to translate it into beautiful fragrances.
OK, as a final question, how do you see the fragrance market evolving over the next 5 years or so?
So what we see is that emotions and dysfunctional benefits are not going to be something which is like OK to have.
It's going to be mandatory.
Also, we see this trend in the industry of the digitalization.
This is something that is starting, but will come here to, I would say to bring new ways to creating fragrances, new approach, especially focused on the brands and their needs to make them easier to really express their needs.
That's great.
Thanks for your time today.
Thank you so much.
