AptarGroup has announced the first commercial launch of its NeoDropper Autoload auto-loading, dosing dropper technology. The packaging company says its dropper solution addresses consumer needs in the skin care sector around dosage control, convenience, and clean usage by supporting precision dispensing and user experience.
Xavier Joseph, VP of Global Marketing and Innovation at Aptar Beauty, says: “We are advancing dropper and dosing packaging innovation to address evolving market needs and shape the future of precision dispensing for forward-thinking skin care brands.”
Manuela DeForge, packaging engineer manager at Dermalogica, claims that FutureCode Booster has been positively received by consumers, particularly for its dispensing performance, ease of use, and overall user experience.
“Feedback highlights the value of delivering a consistent dose in a controlled and hygienic manner, demonstrating how thoughtful packaging design can enhance both product performance and everyday usability,” she says.
Recently, Dermalogica introduced a leave-on product that contains plant-based exosomes and enzyme-derived exfoliation ingredients.
User-friendly innovation
Aptar’s NeoDropper Autoload has combined a twist-and-push dispensing mechanism and an auto-loading dropper cap, which automatically loads the applicator with a consistent dose after each use.
The short applicator is engineered to prevent breakage while improving hygiene and dosage control. The dip tube inside the bottle is developed to enable consumers to use the formula until the last drop and help reduce formula waste.
Aptar says that clinical skin care brands continue to gain traction in the US beauty market due to consumers seeking clinically validated products. “Beauty brands are increasingly turning to advanced dispensing technologies to preserve formulas, which are incorporating potent ingredients and actives that require protection and dosage accuracy.”
Packaging Insights discussed the features of the NeoDropper Autoload with Michael Hoer, regional platform manager at Aptar Beauty, at the Packaging Innovations 2026 tradeshow in the UK. On the show floor, he told us that the packaging is designed for “prestige and dermocosmetic brands, achieving precision, simplified gestures, and consistent and effortless dosage.”
The solution builds on Aptar’s experience developing NeoDropper Classic, which was designed to enhance dosage control and protect product formulations.
Last month, Aptar Active Material Science, part of AptarGroup, secured a US patent for its N-Sorb technology to reduce nitrosamine impurities associated with packaging pharmaceuticals.
Earlier, AptarGroup’s Aptar CSP Technologies opened a medical packaging facility in New Jersey, US. The site enables the pharma pack provider to expand its service offerings to cGMP-compliant manufacturing.
