Clariant has launched its concept Hairmonist, showcasing a range of renewable-based ingredients said to combine innovation, personalization, wellness, and the natural hair movement. The company says the new approach demonstrates how specialized ingredients support beauty brands in creating customized hair care applications.

Beyond functionality, this concept embodies our commitment to helping brands design products that forge a deeper emotional connection with consumers.”
Hair care ingredients
The company says that at the core of the Hairmonist concept is a range of renewable-based ingredients, such as mild surfactants — the GlucoTain line — that offer a moisture balance for hair and scalp while cleansing.
The beauty industry has been exploring biodegradable surfactants, which help formulators cut carbon, boost mildness, and meet growing consumer demands for high-performing, low-environmental-impact products. It has been referred to as “one of the most promising technologies” in the personal care industry.
Clariant also highlights its Genadvanced line, a hair care range that aims to protect and condition hair at a personalized level to address several hair types. It also addresses various concerns, such as damage control and color protection.
“The versatility of these ingredient systems allows especially regional formulators in Latin America to create products for diverse hair types and concerns,” says Luciana Rodrigues, head of application development Personal Care at Clariant, Americas.
“Innovative combinations of Aristoflex (silk polymer) and Genadvance create unique sensory experiences that enhance the emotional connection between consumers and their hair care routines, transforming daily hair care into moments of wellness.”
Earlier this year, the company introduced Aristoflex sun to address the growing demand for sun protection that offers a non-greasy feel.
