Cloud Pink: Ariana Grande’s “most personal” fragrance blends sparkling fruit, magenta moss and praline notes
14 Aug 2023 --- After nearly a decade since her first fragrance, Ari, Ariana Grande has unveiled her latest perfume, Cloud Pink, in collaboration with perfumers at the Firmenich fragrance house. Debuting on the Ulta platform, the product is described as “ethereal and modern,” and is “inspired by Ariana’s magnetic optimism and confidence.”
The campaign is deemed Grande’s “most personal yet, brilliantly showcasing Grande’s evolution as an artist and woman.”
“Developing a new fragrance under this fan-favorite franchise was daunting at first, but I really do think that we’ve created the perfect sister scent to the original Cloud,” comments Grande.
“It’s snuck into my top favorites as of late,” she continues. “I’ve been wearing it non-stop these past few months. Working with Clement and the team on this new pillar was a labor of love, and has been such an exciting secret to keep.”
A blend of woods, moss and praline
Created by Firmenich’s Clement Gavarry, Cloud Pink is a “sensual blend” of ambery woods, magenta moss and a touch of sweetened praline.
The journey begins with a velvety blend of rich berries and sparkling fruit while the delicate floral of vanilla orchid and blush ambrette “wrap you in an embrace of feathery, cotton-like clouds.”
“The lasting impression, a warm blend of addictive, skin-sensual musk and amber woods indulge the senses,” details the brand.
“With the Cloud brand we continue to see unprecedented demand globally,” says Noreen Dodge, chief marketing and strategy officer of Luxe Brands. “Cloud Pink is an evolution of the story. Working with an artist like Ariana, she challenges her partners to re-imagine the convergence of scent, design and storytelling always with the intent to delight her fans.”
“Over time, Ariana has curated a range of high-quality fragrances with longevity and broad appeal – establishing a true pillar in the industry,” remarks Tony Bajaj, CEO of Luxe Brands.
“It’s a testament to her personalized approach to perfume design.”
Recent brand activities
Ariana Grande holds a portfolio of 14 fragrances, crafted in collaboration with perfumers Jérôme Epinette, Clement Gavarry and Frank Voelkl.
Her most recent launch prior to Cloud Pink was her first fragrance duo, MOD Vanilla and MOD Blush, inspired by the “energy of the modernity movement, popularized in 1960s London, UK, representing the values of freedom of expression and individuality.”
In other Ariana Grande brand activities, R.E.M. Beauty announced a strategic investment led by Sandbridge Capital, a consumer-focused private investment firm, in May. The funds are being directed toward innovation, talent acquisition and geographic expansion. The investment also included participation from Strand Equity and long-term Grande collaborators HYBE America, Live Nation Entertainment and Universal Music Group.
R.E.M. Beauty is currently distributed exclusively at Ulta Beauty in the US, Sephora across Europe and Selfridges in the UK. The brand will continue to focus on its core markets, with further expansion plans to be announced.
Last summer, Grande unveiled her God is a Woman Body Line, in partnership with Ulta Beauty. The line includes a skin-softening Body Scrub Soufflé, a rich and soothing Luxurious Body Oil, a multi-purpose Hand and Body Cream and a Deluxe Travel Spray.
