ESW scales eCommerce platform with Scalefast acquisition to expand beauty markets
10 May 2022 --- As the global demand for eCommerce rises, ESW company is expanding its direct-to-consumer (DTC) electronic commerce services to acquire Scalefast, a move expected to strengthen the company across beauty and personal care and luxury brands.
The acquisition is expected to close mid-way in 2022 and the deal will accelerate growth in product innovation across ESW’s client base, according to the company.
“ESW’s acquisition of Scalefast demonstrates our commitment and ambition to accelerate growth for our customers by empowering them to be at the forefront of rapidly evolving consumer requirements worldwide,” says Tommy Kelly, ESW founder and CEO.
“Scalefast’s technology offering is highly complementary and will enable ESW to unleash new capabilities and deliver even faster direct-to-consumer eCommerce growth for new and existing clients.”
“The combined company will continue to transform online shopping experiences for leading brands serving customers in over 200 markets,” shares ESW.
“Digital solutions are crucial for industry to better listen and understand consumers, to explore new creative routes and augment the creative processes,” Arnaud Guggenbuhl, head of global marketing, insights and image, fine fragrance at Givaudan previously told PersoncalCareInsights.
Technical synergies
“Scalefast’s services are highly synergistic with ESW from a revenue generation perspective,” notes Nicolas Stehle, CEO at Scalefast.
“Scalefast and ESW’s blended knowledge, expertise, and technology will provide distinct competitive advantages as a fully integrated technology-driven commerce service provider,” shares Stehle.
“Brands are seeking more specialized and localized services for differentiation and remaining competitive,” says the company.
The rise in eCommerce retail recently brought US singer-songwriter Toni Braxton to partner with Accelerate360 for growing her TMB Beauty enterprise. Accelerate360 offers brands omni-channels, third-party logistics (3PL) solutions and marketing and content opportunities.
Rapidly building eCommerce stores
Scalefast, explains how it is known for rapidly building eCommerce stores faster than its competitors.
“Leveraging its [Scalefast] feature-rich, in-house developed platform, retail infrastructure and applying proprietary data and behavioral analytics to deliver pre-built DTC eCommerce features and capabilities brands need to succeed,” believes ESW.
Scalefast’s speed can be advantageous for creating digital “pop-up stores” and for DTC brand campaigns, adding to ESW’s “cross-border DTC solutions.”
Alice Chang, CEO and founder of Perfect Corp. told PersonalCareInsights that the industry is increasingly embracing the digital transformation.
Moreover, Revlon notes improvements in its retail and eCommerce channels affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, ESW aims to provide Scalefast clients with its checkout, payment gateway and logistics offerings – including hub or hubless options, omni-channels and an ecosystem of global logistics partners.
