Mercedes-Benz launches AMG Thrill eau de parfums for men
11 Sep 2023 --- Luxury vehicle automotive brand Mercedes-Benz has launched a trio of men’s perfumes – AMG Black, Silver and Red. They are created by Firmenich’s principal perfumer, Fabrice Pellegrin, who previously created Jean Paul Gaultier’s So Scandal! and Eau de Minthé Diptyque.
AMG Silver Thrill has been formulated with a blend of fruity bergamot, amberwood and earthy patchouli. The choice of color and name represents technology.
“An addictive tonka and leather encounter aromatic clary-sage and the bright verve of ripe mandarin” in AMG Black Thrill. It has an amber-woody scent that aims to elicit a feeling of “pure freedom.” The color and name represent luxury.
Lastly, AMG Red Thriller “contrasts the intensity of cardamom-spiced vanilla with the smooth luxury of iris.” The perfume aims to evoke ambition, spirit and drive. The choice of color and name represents passion.
The three bottles are made from recycled glass and aluminum to align with the brand’s sustainability goals.
Engine-inspired history
The fragrance line is inspired by Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, who “revolutionized motorsports in 1967. They co-founded AMG Engine Production and Development, a Mercedes-Benz subsidiary.Mercedes-Benz Land-Sea-Air fragrance trilogy.
Their “one man, one engine” concept enabled a “wild and bold” approach in engineering, which continues to influence the vehicle automotive industry, shares Mercedes-Benz.
The AGM Thrill line follows the Mercedes-Benz Land-Sea-Air fragrance trilogy, also designed for men. The Fragrance line is accompanied by a solid shower gel to match the perfumes.
Fragrances in recent headlines
Vintage fashion retailer LoveShackFancy Beauty released three fragrances: Forever in Love, Moondance and Bohème. The perfumes were respectively developed by Firmenich’s perfumers Honorine Blanc and Frank Voelkl and International Flavors & Fragrances’ Yves Cassar.
