Revieve partnership takes beauty to the cloud with AI/AR cosmetic experience and virtual advisors
14 Sep 2022 --- Revieve is collaborating with Magnet Beauty to develop a live, personalized service with licensed and brand-certified beauty advisors in cosmetics, skincare and hair care.
Companies in the beauty industry are invited to use Revieve’s artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technologies – as well as Magnet Beauty’s cloud-based platform – to tailor their customers’ online purchasing experiences and give customers the same level of confidence while shopping as they would have received if they were shopping in a physical store.
“We believe it is not about replacing beauty advisors, MUAs or cosmetologists but instead helping brands and retailers bring that “in-person experience” to a ubiquitous environment where consumers can benefit from a personalized brand experience,” a spokesperson at Revieve tells PersonalCareInsights, elaborating on whether this collaboration eliminates the need for consumers to visit cosmetologists and beauty specialists in real life.
“The future is about equipping consumers with the right tools to offer a more personalized approach and high-level expertise so that consumers can make more confident purchase decisions and build greater loyalty with the brands they love or just discovered,” the spokesperson says.
Tapping into beauty tips
Brands and retailers may use this collaboration to connect customers with virtual beauty professionals, such as licensed cosmetologists, aestheticians and makeup artists, as well as Revieve’s AI- and AR-powered solutions.
“Utilizing our AI/AR technology along with Magnet Beauty’s digital sales engagement platform will not only serve consumers on a more personalized, deeper level, but it will also recreate the in-store shopping experience digitally,” says Sampo Parkkinen, founder and CEO at Revieve.
Virtual try-on, skin analysis and product suggestions are all part of Revieve’s AI and AR products. The platform also offers an AI Makeup Advisor and AI Skincare Advisor.
Customers can communicate with licensed and professionally trained aestheticians via text, voice and video chat when they use Magnet Beauty. Customers can ask follow-up questions to the same beauty advisor, develop their routine or pick up new skills.
The future is digital
The skincare space has seen a lot of technological advances lately. The involvement with the metaverse and cloud-related developments has never been more significant.
The spokesperson tells us that consumer groups are so intricately segmented that launching new beauty collections, campaigns and digital experiences presents an exciting challenge for all leaders in the space.
“Today, beauty companies have to stand out and offer experiences that are in line with consumer expectations and that can live anywhere where their brand is, whether that’s in the shape of minimal skincare, at-home devices or even AI and AR advisors.”
“The opportunity here is to have a deep understanding of consumer needs. In other words, brands must become an indispensable and integrated part of their consumers’ lives and provide them with a brand experience tailored to their deep understanding of them.”
