In-cosmetics Global 2026 live: Seppic unveils Solagum X+ and redefines personal care as “futuristic” journey
Sensoriality and multifunctionality are essential, with consumers seeking highly effective textures that offer multiple skin benefits
Key takeaways
- Solagum X+ is a 100% natural-origin polysaccharide that acts as a high-performance texturizer, stabilizing complex emulsions with very low dosage, offering formulators flexibility in texture creation.
- It delivers excellent texture and also provides moisturizing benefits with long-lasting hydration, improving skin comfort and revitalization.
- Seppic’s Cosmos Beauty Odyssey collection combines cutting-edge technology with sensory experiences, catering to the growing demand for “In & Out” nutricosmetics.

Seppic continues to expand its natural polymer portfolio with the launch of Solagum X+ — its latest cross-linked polysaccharide of natural origin that combines sensoriality and performance. The product, among other formulations, such as “The Cosmos Beauty Odyssey,” is being showcased live at the In-cosmetics Global trade show currently being held (April 14–16) in Paris, France.
In the cosmetics industry, sensoriality and multifunctionality have become essential, with consumers continually seeking pleasant, highly effective textures that offer multiple and targeted skin benefits. Seppic believes this represents a significant challenge for natural cosmetics, as few available ingredients manage to combine all these requirements, especially among natural rheology modifiers.
Speaking to Personal Care Insights live at the show, Andrea Nigon, marketing and digital manager at Seppic, explains: “Solagum X+ is the new generation of polysaccharides and has been developed thanks to our patented and sustainable cross-linking technology.”
At In-cosmetics Global 2026, Seppic continues to expand its natural polymer portfolio with the launch of Solagum X+.Nigon believes what makes Solagum X+ stand out is that it has “multi-functional properties, bridging the gap between naturality and performance at the same time.”
It works as a high-performance texturizing agent and is four times more effective than xanthan gum, meaning it stabilizes very complex emulsions at a very low dosage, including those with high oil phases or solar filters, she adds. “It’s also unique because it allows for either frosted or smooth textures, depending on the dosage, giving formulators flexibility.”
Nigon says it also brings emotional benefits to users, “providing comfort, a feeling of softness, and a revitalizing effect.” Emotional profiling analysis by Seppic has demonstrated that incorporating Solagum X+ into the skin care routine brings pleasure to consumers.
“It’s also a moisturizing agent, with both immediate and long-term benefits for up to 24 hours.”
Cosmos Beauty Odyssey
Launched for In-cosmetics Global, Seppic also brought its collection of inspiring formulations, “The Cosmos Beauty Odyssey,” which are positioned to redefine personal care as a futuristic journey, bridging the gap between the effectiveness of science-based products and consumer demand for holistic beauty.
Also speaking with Personal Care Insights, Lorraine Denois, senior marketing and digital manager, tells us more. “We have a theme each year, and this time, it’s ‘The Cosmos.’ We’ve drawn inspiration from the Apollo mission, and the idea is to offer consumers a unique experience, both through cosmetic benefits and sensory experiences.”
The Cosmos Beauty Odyssey redefines personal care as a futuristic journey.
She also underscores a “growing demand for ‘In & Out’ nutricosmetics with unique sensory experiences, and this year, we have two new products in our collection.” The idea is to propose new experiences through textures from the active ingredients, knowing that consumers want both high efficacy and sensory appeal.
According to Seppic, the “Cosmos Beauty Odyssey” is more than a thematic exploration; it is a technical response to customers’ formulation requirements.
Anti-sagging active Sagacious
To illustrate the “Milky Way,” Seppic addresses the challenge of age-related loss of firmness with its anti-sagging active Sagacious.
Denois explains: “We’ve used Sagacious in an anti-aging cream featured at the formulation bar [at In-Cosmetics]. Given the ‘Cosmos’ theme, it made sense to incorporate an anti-sagging extract like Sagacious. It’s a powerful active with many anti-aging claims. We’ve combined it with two other actives that promote skin protection, which is currently booming in anti-aging products.”
Seppic also promotes the use of its protective shield Sensanov WR. This light and matte finish emulsifier participates in the melting texture on the skin, ideal for a pampering ritual that combats sagging and visible wrinkles, while sealing in moisture.
Sweeping toward the “Ice Giant,” the company’s Cica Milky Moisturizing Toner rises to the challenge of achieving a stable, very fluid emulsion with a maximum of naturality, which, according to Denois, “is in line with the key trends the cosmetic industry is seeing worldwide.”
Technical performance is key. Seppic has developed solutions that combine high technology with extreme sensoriality. Thanks to the expertise of Montanov L, Seppic has created an ultra-fluid, milky texture, a true liquid “thermal blanket” that moisturizes and protects. The addition of the key active ingredient Teca, a highly purified centella extract, has a skin repair and remodeling action.
“Consumers are asking for milky toners, and our products promote and address what our customers are asking for: natural emulsifiers that create strong textures, even when they are very fluid. These emulsifiers also offer moisturizing benefits, making them a valuable addition to our formulas,” says Denios.
For Nigon, Seppic’s launches align with the current market trends of natural-origin polymers that perform without compromising on naturality or efficacy and the sensorality of the formulation.
She adds: “Our focus is on creating combinations that provide both effectiveness and sustainability, responding to the growing demand for multi-functional, effective textures.”
