Symrise is extending its patented, plant-based product protection technology to rinse-off applications within its Care & Wellness portfolio, with the launch of Mindera Euca to its Mindera platform. The company will be showcasing Mindera Euca, among its other recently debuted ingredients, at In-cosmetics Global 2026, taking place in Paris, France (April 14–16).
Following a new chapter for leave-on formulations launched last year — the Mindera product protection toolbox — the German chemicals company aims to help brands elevate everyday rinse-off cleansing routines into wellness-focused rituals.
The Mindera platform offers a natural shield for personal care formulations by delivering multifunctional and broad-spectrum activity across all product categories.
“Consumers want rinse-off routines that feel great and fit busy lives,” says Juliet Advika, global product manager, Product Protection. “Sensorial performance plays a key role, especially with consumers increasingly looking for restorative, wellness-led experiences in their personal care routines.”
Plant-based protection
As a fully plant-based multifunctional, Mindera Euca “reliably upgrades rinse-off formulations,” according to Symrise. It boosts foam quality and volume and helps create a dense, rich foam, including in sulfate-free systems.
Formulators can also build appealing textures by enhancing viscosity and improving the sensorial experience. In parallel, Mindera Euca supports robust product protection across a broad pH range, so brands can deliver solutions with elevated everyday performance.
“As people continue to seek natural, responsible solutions, Mindera Euca can support rinse-off formulators to address these demands. Our innovative Mindera technology offers customers natural, high-performing solutions, opening opportunities for brands in all product categories,” says Advika.
The launch of Mindera Euca builds on Symrise’s patented Mindera platform, which now supports product protection across all personal care categories.Mindera Euca joins four other multifunctional ingredients in the Mindera platform, which are supported by a patent portfolio. The move underlines Symrise’s focus on product protection innovation for cosmetics and personal care.
Symrise’s skin rejuvenation moves
Separately, Symrise recently launched Cellexora MD, a 100% plant derived cosmetic ingredient based on “true” exosomes, or intercellular messenger cells. The ingredient is said to support long-term skin resilience and longevity. The company will also present the ingredient at In-cosmetics Global 2026 next week.
The ingredient launch comes under Symrise’s holistic care platform, Care & Wellness. The division launched last month and targets the “connected care model” linking skin health, gut microbiome, and holistic well-being.
In March, Personal Care Insights reported that Symrise introduced its Care & Wellness Division to meet the global demand for products under the umbrella of well-being and beauty. Launched under the Scent & Care segment, the division brings together expertise across cosmetic and health ingredients and actives, including biotics.
The move followed Symrise’s acquisition of Probi last year, a Swedish biotechnology company specializing in probiotics.
Symrise focuses on the “connected care model,” integrating beauty and health, which consumers increasingly seek, targeting skin health and the gut microbiome for “healthier longevity.” Symrise believes its approach places it at the intersection of science, proven claims, and consumer demand for longer, healthier lives
