Weekly Roundup: L’Oréal, ELC and Essity make strides in social inclusion

Additionally, The Estée Lauder Companies made Disability:IN’s list of the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion and scored an 80/100 on the Disability Equality Index. Essity also announced the continuation of its cooperation with the United Nations Foundation’s #EqualEverywhere to fuel gender equality worldwide.

The quarterly dividend for Estée Lauder Companies’ Class A and Class B Common Stock reportedly increased by 10% to US$0.66 per share, up from US$0.60 per share.

Essity announced the continuation of its collaboration with the United Nations Foundation by supporting the organization’s #EqualEverywhere campaign, which seeks to hasten the advancement of gender equality.

The EcoBeautyScore Consortium website launched, comprising 60 cosmetics and personal care companies and professional associations. It aims to provide a scoring system and industry-wide environmental impact assessment for cosmetics goods.

Mibelle Biochemistry launched CalMandrin, an environmentally sustainable solution for combating inflammation and improving signs of aging in the skin. This solution is obtained through a distillation process of mandarin skins. It is noted to improve irritated skin, soothe inflamed and red skin, promote collagen production and improve skin firmness and density.

The Kanebo premium brand from Kao Corporation announced that it will be celebrating the Lunar New Year on January 1, 2023, with the introduction its “Kanebo Comfort Stretchy Wash Limited Edition 2023” facial wash.

Clariant’s active ingredient product Rootness Awake, which combats eye bags and under-eye circles, took home a gold ranking under the Environment and Actives categories of the BSB Innovation Awards.Mibelle Biochemistry won an award at in-cosmetics Asia for NovoRetin, a plant-based retinol substitute. 

L’Oréal placed fifth in the Universum global list of business students’ preferred firms for the second consecutive year. Data from 89,189 students who were asked to rank 40 factors for their future employer were gathered by the organization, and their responses ranked L’Oréal as the top European firm. The Business students noted L’Oréal for its people-centric culture that encourages growth through job mobility and early responsibility, a diverse and inclusive work environment.
