SEPAWA Congress 2025: Berg + Schmidt unveils sensory kit for faster formulations
12 Nov 2025 | Berg + Schmidt
At SEPAWA Congress 2025 in Berlin, Germany, Sabrina Paltian, team lead application technologies, and Clara Bannert, marketing manager at Berg + Schmidt, took us through the company’s texture and sensory sample kit. It is created for formulators to develop new formulations at a quicker pace. The kit mainly serves products with milk, lotion, and cream textures.
This is Beatrice Flander for Personal Care Insights.
I'm here today at Sepawa 2025 in Berlin, Germany, and I am with Sabrina Paltan, who is the team lead for application technologies, and with Clara Benner, who is marketing manager for Bert and Smith.
Welcome.
Can you please tell us what you are showcasing today?
Yes, of course.
So today we are showcasing the texture and.
3 sample kits.
So this year we developed a tool for finding formulations.
This is done for formulators that they can have less time for developing new formulations.
All right.
And what cosmetic formulations is it applicable for?
It's all about oil and water emergence, so we are talking about milk, lotion, butter, and cream textures.
And do you have a specific target audience in mind or do you have a specific target group of consumers?
Yes, so all of our customers and of course all the formulators because we want to save time for them that they can use our formulation to develop their new formulation and they are much faster than.
Environmentally sustainable.
It's all about time saving and then of course it's about saving energy and power because we have lots of formulations tested and a stability test.
So all of our chassis formulations you can use directly and put your perfume in or whatever you like, give another name, and then it's done.
So of course you need to do a safety assessment, but you, you have less time.
All right, thank you.
And what is the personal care industry looking at in the close future?
You can be very excited.
We are working on something regarding the haircare industry, so we're not saying anything more yet, but stay tuned and we'll see.
All right, thank you very much.
