Beauty Health unveils HydraFacial Syndeo skincare delivery system for remote, hands-free light therapy
11 Apr 2022 --- Amid the rise in digital beauty and personalized solutions, Beauty Health is releasing a digitally connected and improved version of its HydraFacial Syndeo delivery system for skincare that allows aestheticians to conduct other services using professional-strength therapeutic light energy in an efficient, hands-free application.
The new HydraFacial Delivery System collects data through its usage, which allows the company to more efficiently evaluate customer behavior and assist providers in better understanding their clients’ demands.
“As a category creator, we deliver beauty health experiences every day that reinvent our consumer’s relationship with their skin,” says Andrew Stanleick, president and CEO of Beauty Health.
“Syndeo applies technology and data to maximize our customer experience. Meaning ‘connected’ in Greek, Syndeo is a milestone for connecting our community of consumers and providers, offering a new level of data and insights on preferences and trends for a personalized experience.”
A multifunctional beauty device
HydraFacial Syndeo was developed to improve the consumer and provider experience. Syndeo will be available in the US, with a rollout to other regions to follow.
The new device was developed in collaboration with Whipsaw, a product design and experience innovation firm and Omnica Corporation, a leading medical device development firm, as the new standard for aestheticians and providers.
While maintaining the HydraFacial three-step experience, the delivery method integrates with a LightStim Elipsa LED light therapy device. It can also be used in conjunction with HydraFacial Syndeo or independently.
Additionally, providers can examine a consumer’s history and preferences using this information, allowing them to offer targeted products and experiences that are tailored to their specific needs.
Tracking consumer behavior and needs
The updated delivery system, built using cloud-based software, combines the HydraFacial core treatment with digital capabilities to give the company and providers crucial learnings and insights.
“Innovation is a key strategic pillar of our growth. As we build the future of Beauty Health with new products and technologies like Syndeo, we’re always listening and learning to strengthen our relationship with our community,” adds Stanleick.
“Syndeo’s connectivity leverages personalized targeting to drive increased consumer activation and deepen involvement and trust in the Beauty Health community.”
Digital NPD for personalization and engagement
As the digital beauty industry continues to boom, industry has been tapping into NPD that can lead to a more tailored experience for the consumer. Additionally, cosmetics technology can boost consumer engagement.
Recently, Unilever teamed with retail marketing platform Perch to build a digital consumer interaction solution for beauty customers using Perch’s “lift-and-learn” technology.
Previously, Perfect Corp signed a multi-channel partnership with Coty to increase the personalization and the digital experience of its Kylie Cosmetics and Covergirl brands.
Perfect Corp also partnered with Avon México on a digital platform that combines augmented reality and artificial intelligence (AI), and with No7 to release an AI-powered personalized foundation shade finder
