Danna Paola named face of MAC Cosmetics in global campaigns
27 Sep 2023 --- MAC Cosmetics has announced international pop star Danna Paola as its new global brand ambassador. Throughout a long-term partnership starting in October, the Latin Grammy Award-nominated talent can be seen as the face of MAC’s new product campaigns and collections.
The 28-year-old singer, writer, producer, songwriter and actress from Mexico City is described as having a makeup style that “sways between classic to outrageously avant-garde.”
“When I was a teenager, I always had MAC in my bag, either a Ruby Woo lipstick, mascara or lashes and to this day it is the same, but with more lipsticks. Even in musical theater, I loved using MAC Chromacake products too,” remarks Paola.
Danna’s global ambassador role will bring to light beauty hacks and skin care secrets to her favorite MAC icons and pro techniques.
“Danna has captured the hearts of her fans globally and her magnetic personality and talent continues to transcend cultural borders,” says Ingrid Abdo, VP and general manager at MAC Latin America.
“It’s incredibly exciting to be working with Danna as she takes the international stage by storm and we can’t bring her imitable beauty and style to life in a way that only MAC can do.”
“Danna’s brilliantly authentic and individual spirit, which comes through so clearly in the way she owns her beauty looks and expresses herself with makeup, is completely in sync with the thinking and the artistry that matters most to MAC,” comments Drew Elliott, MAC’s global creative director.
The partnership will start in October, in tandem with MAC providing backstage support during the US leg of her tour this fall.
