Rabanne enters luxury beauty with fashion fabric-inspired makeup launch
28 Aug 2023 --- Avant-garde fashion house and “audacious” fragrance producer, Rabanne is unveiling a beauty collection, available on its website, which will launch exclusively on Ulta Beauty sites and select stores.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Rabanne Beauty to our prestige cosmetics assortment,” says Maria Salcedo, SVP of merchandising at Ulta Beauty.
“We know our loyal beauty enthusiasts will fall in love with the unique packaging, innovative formulas and bold, expressive pigments and shades. As the exclusive US retailer, we’re proud to be an integral partner to this iconic brand and provide access and awareness to this next phase of growth for The Maison.”
Rabanne Beauty is launching to “inspire new generations to push the limits of creativity” – from fashion to beauty – the brand seeks to define a new era for a “defiantly rebellious tribe.”
Fusing fashion and makeup
Makeup artist Diane Kendal is the creative director of Rabanne Beauty, who is known to have a “visionary force within the industry.”
She has been a leading figure in beauty with her works featured in high-end publications. She brings extensive experience of fashion and beauty.
Kendal also shares the brand’s vision for a future of creativity and self-expression. Her belief is: “There’s no beauty, only beauties.”
She will be presenting the makeup collection at Rabanne’s SS24 runway show in Paris.
The makeup products are inspired by fashion fabrics – unexpected sparkle, matte, gloss and metal finishes. These are said to be reinvented for the next generation of change-makers.
The formulas are vegan, dermatologically-tested and contain up to 98% ingredients of natural origin.
The collection will be exclusively available at Ulta Beauty within its prestige cosmetics assortment. Priced between US$20 to US$40, the brand is opening up to Gen Z’s purchasing power.
