Magic mist: Charlotte Tilbury launches anti-pollution and oxygenating essence
05 Jul 2023 --- Charlotte Tilbury has unveiled an oxygenating rescue essence with the endearing name Charlotte’s Magic Hydrator Mist, designed to be part of the skin care routine. The mist provides an immediate hydration boost with the rejuvenation properties of an oxygen facial and gives an instant “dewy” glow.
The company has identified digital fatigue, air conditioning and travel as major contributing factors to dehydrated skin. Dehydration is the cause of many skin issues, such as fine lines, dullness and poor skin texture.
Faced with city challenges
Magic Hydrator Mist helps combat the skin-damaging effects of urban pollution, humidity and heat caused by the city environment. The formula consists of several key proprietary ingredients.
OxyBalance strengthens the skin barrier, boosts hydration and smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic Mesh, a trademark of BASF Beauty Care Solutions France, provides a pollution defense shielding the skin from pollutants, while kombu extract diminishes the signs of digital fatigue by 88%, making the skin smoother and firmer.
In addition, glycerin creates an epidermal glow, drawing moisture from the atmosphere to hydrate and soften the skin and niacinamide brightens the complexion reducing the appearance of pores, fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone and locking in moisture.
Matrix of mistMagic Hydrator Mist leaves skin twice as hydrated as similar products on the market.
According to the brand, clinical trials show that applying Charlotte’s Magic Hydrator Mist leaves skin two times more hydrated in an hour than comparable products. The mist has been tested on 33 people over 28 days.
“I formulated this mist with a powerful hyaluronic acid matrix, helping to flood the skin with moisture while misting comfortably and effortlessly onto the face,” says Tilbury.
The formula can be applied before or after makeup and multiple times throughout the day. Consumers can get early access to the product by downloading the Charlotte Tilbury App.
