Mixing east and west, Fratelli Diamanti’s Montecristo perfume gains top acclaim
12 May 2022 --- Luxury perfume brand Fratelli Diamanti has launched the Diamond Collection containing 15 “niche” perfumes, of which Montecristo has been hailed as one of the “best perfumes in the world” by world-famous perfume experts.
The global brand worked with top European perfume designers for over two years, resulting in the Diamond collection. Combining notes “thought impossible to bring together,” the brand synthesizes Eastern notes with Western notes.
Perfecting combinations
A combination of apricots, cinnamon and saffron is one example of such “impossible” synthesis.
Additionally, the mix of sandalwood, cedar and patchouli notes is tied together with gray amber, vanilla and hints of tobacco, describes Fratelli Diamanti.
“Through perfecting combinations of notes hitherto thought impossible to bring together; producing perfumes that are a first for the entire luxury perfume industry,” says the brand. A mix of sandalwood, cedar and patchouli notes is tied together with gray amber, vanilla and hints of tobacco.
Fratelli Diamanti's signature
Each fragrance in the Diamond Collection series has reportedly received top marks from world-famous perfume artists and experts. However, the Montecristo perfume has gained special attention.
“Montecristo is described as ‘different from all other perfumes’ by world-famous European perfume artists,” shares the brand.

The creation of the perfume was inspired by the Montecristo Island, located in the Tuscany region of Italy.
The flare in fragrance NPD
Innovations in perfume head toward conscious formulations and designs with Firmenich, who unveiled its latest Sharing Innovation 2022 collection of perfumery ingredients, reflecting its green science and technology in the collection.
Moreover, Calvin Klein Fragrances, a division of Coty, was awarded its first Cradle to Cradle gold certification in perfume for its CK Everyone Eau de Parfum, achieving gold ranking in all five key areas: Material Health, Material Reutilization, Renewable Energy and Carbon Management, Water Stewardship and Social Fairness.
Collaborations and acquisitions enhance the company’s portfolio of aroma products; Phoenix Flavors and Fragrances previously acquired Innovative Fragrances, a supplier for personal care and various aroma-based products.
Furthermore, Fragrance giant Symrise and French research institute Centre Régionalisé Interprofessionnel d'Expérimentation en Plantes à Parfum, Aromatiques et Médicinales (CRIEPPAM) partnered to produce Symrises’ next-generation of white lavender plants and to ensure ethical supply chains.
Fragrances see further enhancement when combined with tech as beauty giant L’Oréal partnered with bio-informatics and technology company Emotiv to create a headset device for helping consumers create personalized fragrances to match their mood.
