Skin Science Solutions and Equinox Hotel New York unveil lymphatic drainage experience
17 Aug 2022 --- Icoone roboderm, a new skin cell regeneration device, is now available at Equinox Hotels’ Hudson Yards location in partnership with Skin Science Solutions. The Spa by Equinox Hotels is also debuting a high-tech and high-touch experience, Accelerated Circuit, which brings together icoone roboderm and Biologique Recherche manual body sculpting treatments for optimal regeneration.
Through microstimulation, icoone roboderm promotes skin tissue oxygenation and skin cell regeneration and boosts the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother, firmer and more toned skin in only a few sessions.
Specially designed treatments
The Spa by Equinox is offering two treatments using the icoone roboderm technology: “precision body sculpt” and “power lift for face+body.” Both of these treatments are available as 60- or 90-minute sessions and focus on sculpting, firming and contouring the skin.
While body sculpting “reduces the appearance of cellulite, relieves muscle pain, improves blood circulation and optimizes lymphatic drainage restoring a harmonious body shape,” the power lift treatment is touted to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin while smoothing signs of aging and restoring the elasticity and firmness of the tissues.

According to Cleveland Clinic, a non-profit US-based academic medical center, Lymphatic drainage relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. It entails delicately moving certain parts of your body to encourage the lymph fluids to travel to a region with functional lymphatic vessels.
Icoone roboderm can show results almost instantaneously through microstimulation. Known to provide painless and non-invasive facial and body rejuvenation through innovative cellular technologies, the icoone tech has been paired with Biologique Recherche to enhance body silhouette in just three weeks.
Clients can choose between the “silhouette shaper” and “polish+glow” treatments to either combine lymphatic drainage, deep anti-cellulite massage and glove sculpting to shape and contour the body, as the treatment is pegged to do or regenerate and hydrate body with a combination of deep exfoliating active ingredients and massage techniques.
“The ability to use icoone roboderm on any guest up to twice daily can transform any silhouette, even over a brief, weekend stay,” explains Stan Kapica, president at Skin Science Solutions, the exclusive US distributor of icoone roboderm.
Hi-tech in the beauty space
As technology rises in popularity within the self care industry, NASA researchers working in zero gravity conditions previously discovered that LED light therapy stimulates and promotes processes within the cell that enable collagen reproduction and skin rejuvenation.
In line with these findings, GLO24K’s Triple Action LED Eye Care Therapy Wand was designed specifically to minimize the visible signs of premature aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, puffiness and crow’s feet around the eyes.
Keeping up with the trend of “skinification” Maëlys has entered a retail partnership with Ulta Beauty, following “record-breaking” direct-to-consumer growth within the body care category. “As body skinification continues to rule in the body care category, with Maëlys at the forefront, there is limitless opportunity for our partnership with Ulta Beauty,” Rom Ginzburg, CEO of Maëlys explains.
US beauty retailer Ulta Beauty has also spearheaded Prisma Ventures, a digital innovation fund set to invest US$20 million in emerging technology start-ups that seek to shape future online and in-store experiences.
With this fund, the company aims to unlock new technology that fuels greater discovery, personalization and convenience. “We believe this fund presents opportunities for creative disruptors to further propel the industry forward,” remarks Prama Bhatt, the chief digital officer of Ulta Beauty.
Advancing beauty tech, Revieve partnered with The Best You to bring a range of skincare products and cosmetic treatments to the Canadian audience, setting a new standard in virtual medical diagnostics. “It measures more than 200 sub-metrics and around 20 main metrics with evaluated accuracy and scientific backing that delivers powerful personalization,” Sampo Parkkinen, CEO and founder at Revieve shared with PersonalCareInsights.
