The transaction is expected to allow Persán to focus on its core business areas while ensuring that Mibelle Biochemistry continues to grow under a specialized owner in cosmetic and nutraceutical ingredients. It closely follows Persán’s acquisition of the Mibelle Group from Swiss retailer Migros last April.
Antonio Somé, CEO of Persán, says: “We’re pleased to have found in Solabia an excellent new owner for Mibelle Biochemistry whose expertise and long-term vision will support Mibelle Biochemistry’s growth in the future. For Persán, this step also enables us to… generate the greatest impact and long-term value, further growing our business globally.”

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but the transaction is expected to close in the next few months.

Customers benefit from a broader portfolio while continuing to rely on Mibelle Biochemistry’s well-known Swiss-made quality.
“Mibelle Biochemistry is a company we have long admired for its scientific rigor, innovative spirit, and pioneering work,” says Jean Baptiste Dellon, CEO of Solabia. “Together, we will accelerate innovation, expand our global reach, and deliver even stronger value to a larger customer base seeking differentiated, science-backed solutions for beauty and well-being.”

Moves by Mibelle
Mibelle Biochemistry continues to develop its reach in the beauty and wellness arena. In November, the company launched SenoCellTec, a plant-based active ingredient designed to eliminate “zombie cells” and rejuvenate skin. The ingredient aims to target the root cause of aging by working at the cellular level.
In a separate launch in June, Mibelle Biochemistry unveiled LunaRose, an organic ingredient for overnight skin care formulations. It acts on biological processes closely linked to sleep and supports skin regeneration. It is suitable for various formulations and works to reduce common signs of sleep deprivation, such as dark circles, dull skin, and sleep wrinkles.
According to Cornelia Schürch, head of Mibelle Biochemistry, the company has built “a global reputation for cutting-edge biotechnology and high-quality natural active ingredients over more than three decades.”
“We are gaining a strong, highly aligned partner who understands our markets and shares our passion for scientific excellence. This transaction will allow us to innovate faster, scale our technologies, and bring even more impactful ingredients to customers around the world,” says Schürch.
